If you want to take your car to where I buy all my chryslers, suburban Farmington hills, I will call the service manager direct who is a good friend of mine. I trust him and I'm sure he will help you. Let me know.

Thanks! That would have been super convenient for me earlier but I live in Madison Heights now. Forgot to update my profile.

LOL, OK... there are hundreds if not thousands of posts online about trans issues (including the person who started this thread, you missed that part). When others asked for opinions on 300s, I detailed our troubles and you acted like I was the only person ever to have issues. You dumb, son

Start documenting it for lemon law buy back, you're almost there. If they are unable to fix it in four visits or if they have the car over 30 days. I had a nightmare on a Town & Country that intermittently wouldn't start and kept stranding my wife and kids one winter. My advice.... Go to a different dealer. I kept going to the same dealer thinking it would help because they had all the history, and that was my biggest mistake. It's warranty work regardless of the dealership. If you want to keep the car take it somewhere else, if you want to cut your loss and get rid of the car then take it back to the same dealer because they likely won't fix it this time either.

There may be some kind of consumer purchase laws that could help you since you purchased it 11 days ago, but I don't know much about that.

PM me if you want a number of a good lemon law attorney, they will all gladly talk to you and let you know your options.

I sent you a PM. Would love to chat with an attorney at this point.

Car has been at the dealership since Monday afternoon and it doesn't sound like they are making much progress. They opened a STAR case with Chrysler (whatever that is) and are supposedly in contact with Chrysler techs.

The STAR case is when a dealer is having a problem troubleshooting a car and calls the corporate tech assistance center. They help walk them thru a diag process.

All you have to do is keep exact dates of issues and the dates that you brought in/picked up your car. After 4 times and the issue is still there you have a great case to call corporate and ask for a buyback. They might trade you out with a newer model of cut you a check. There is usually a lot of red tape but being persistent pays off in the end. Whatever you do, dont go in yelling at advisors/techs/managers. They almost always write you off as an asshole customer and will not work easily with you to help get chrysler the info they need if a buyback was going to take place. Just my experience from the dealership side.

I mean I'm glad....

You can buy garbage 5.7 cars that shit the engine for super cheap, then piece it together with a new crank and parts out of another shit engine and make a few bucks. I'm not talking drivability issues, or wheel bearing issues im talking drop the intake valve or intake valve seat directly into the engine for no reason.

They have MSP cars all the time with bad engines..... With required maintenance records.

I used to work in a shop that rebuilt heads, blocks and all that fun stuff, everyday I fixed Chrysler stuff. Mostly 2.4, 2.7, 3.5 and 5.7

Don't even get me started on Dodge fighting my friend on his 2012 ram and the bed already rusting away.

yep they have been terrible, so many threads here about that :gr_gruffy

Yes, they are....

"2014 Auto Survey, which rates reliability from consumer surveys of some 1.1 million vehicles over the past 12 months. Of the 28 brands ranked in terms of predicted reliability, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles' Fiat, Jeep, Ram and Dodge brands landed in the bottom four slots. At the top and bottom of the survey, those results played out similarly to Consumer Reports' study a year ago."

"There have been 10 Chrysler 300 recalls between 2005 and 2016."

........ I'll stop here, cause the list is so very long.

My parents had a 98 dodge van, couldn't keep a trans or rear end in it to save it's life. Traded that in on an 02 Durango with the 4.7.

The durango shit the trans, rear end, the timing chains, and the wire harness that went to the blower motor resistor almost burnt the truck down. Not bad for a truck with 125k miles when it got sold.... Don't you worry because before it hit 140k it had a broken rod and a windowed block.

When the 300 came out, alllllll my friends leased them. I had to do brakes on every one of them. 25k is miles. I've had to do control arms on a few because of how bad they would shake under braking before they got turned back in.

A friend is a lemon law attorney and I bet he has done 3 or 4 of my friends dodge leases in the last 10 years.

Why do my friends keep leasing them you ask?

Ram truck $129 a month
Chrysler 300 $149 a month

If they didn't give these away 50% less people would want them.

They most likely will be nonexistent soon

They have already dropped the name dodge from the truck line

They have no EV vehicle

I don't think they have a decent hybrid

They will dump Chrysler, rebrand as fiat. Keep jeep and ram trucks

2000 expedition still gets decent money
2000 Tahoe/yukon still gets decent money

Not a ton but a few grand

2000 Durango's you can't give away

I just checked CL a few sub $2000 trucks and way more part outs than running vehicles.

I had a 14 Charger AWD Hemi and really liked it. That being said I would NEVER buy one.

My buddy works on police cars down south. All the Hemi cars are eating cams. They need a complete upper end build at around 70k miles.

When I was looking at buying a used Grand Cherokee I was warned by more then one service advisor about the motor problems.
