MD Not complying with township on noise ordinances

I think it's totally unnecessary to request Milan Dragway officials attend a meeting to discuss a schedule.
Milan's schedule isn't a secret. IT'S ON THEIR WEBSITE!
A meaningful noise ordinance would regulate decibel levels based on certain hours of the day. I think that's reasonable.
Running open-header cars at 1:40 AM is extremely inconsiderate and is just inviting resident complaints.
One aspect of road-racing I particularly enjoy is that the track goes green at 9am and red at 5pm.
With this you get to enjoy hours of racing and still be home at a reasonable hour.
I have no desire to participate in a drag series that runs until the middle of the night. Sorry - I have a life and other responsibilities.
Damn kids and their skateboards .. We need to get everyone together to have a meeting..

Thats what I was thinking, Im not sure but has Milan run cars AFTER 2am in past years as much as they have this summer? I swear I was reading about cars running at almost 4am not too long ago? thats just ridiculousness. I'm sure most nearby homeowners expect and dont mind hearing the passes till midnight or 1am, but hearing race cars running after 1am-3 or 4am is outrageous in my opinion

I don't want to post a garage sale permit on my house either, but its the townships policy/law/ordinance...... If I didn't like it that much, I'd run for office and change the ordinance, pass around a bill to sign to change the ordinance, say at a no et event or heads up night. 25000 signatures can make things happen. But until then, play by the rules or deal with the consequences. Not showing up all season and not dropping off a schedule is a slap in the face to the township, but could you expect better from people that throw chicken bones at customers?
Fire a LONG time employee for calling in sick one day in 15years? One day! Shit, no one there could make a 15min trip to the township offices!

I live a half mile from I 275 ...
on summer nites I can hear the rice rockets and the buzz they make for miles but the freeway was there when I moved in so I live with it !
I also have airplanes landing at willow run fly over a few times a month and its been an airport since WW2... so I live with it

but it pisses me off when developers build a sub division next to a drag strip or a mile away and the home owners piss and moan about the noise

its called common sence!

this is how detroit dragway got closed I see this as the begining of the end for milan ...
hell they wont repair the road leading to it how many people does that keep away?

Everytime i go and they race after 12am the track sucks anyway. No one gets traction and they crash.
