LSX time???

Betting 100 that is wasnt the tune really does no good here, neither you nor ur buddy ben have any clue about what ur doing or have even built anything to make your input worthy.

You don't know me and have never met me. How would you know what I have and have not built? Pretty sure I've gone 10.40's in a 4000 pound car on pump gas with a factory block, factory rear end, and factory suspension, including leaf springs. Sorry if my first post was harsh, but all it meant was not to point fingers at the tuner. Do you realize Lid has been tuning cars for as long as you've been alive? If you were not satisfied with the service why did you leave the shop with the car? I hope you get it back together, and get it reliable. If you part it out, you'll lose your ass, unfortunately. It would be cool to see the car up and running and kicking ass. Good luck with whatever you decide.

P.S. If/when you tear the motor down, take lots of pictures, maybe we could all help find the culprit.

To be honest i dont care how long he has been tuning. This isnt ur normal pulley swap cobra. If or if it isnt the tune i wasnt happy w how it went down n tried to say something but it didnt matter. Last time it was " come back every week so i can work on driveability" they wouldnt even try n get a good tach signal for a full dyno reading including tq n rpm. I just was not happy but what was i gonna do.. things take more time for an 800 hp turbo gt and a 400 hp eatpn cobra. Car broke up.on the dyno second to last pull n wasnt even looked into. Pulled again n let it go saying its fine. I learned my lesson i guess.

First pull after the new intake was a spike. But i feel it was b.c the manual controller was reading off the old intake n things got changed. We turned it down n made more pulls w no issues
 
Sorry to hear about this Jon. It's too bad both of our cars had some pretty serious problems on Saturday. As for the plugs, definitely looks like pre ignition. Do you think your problem could be related to the 2v motor? I never have seen too many people use that platform and try to make decent power with it. Maybe you are starting to push the limits of that engine (I don't just mean the block or head design but things like the engine management as well) good luck getting it figured out!
 
i dont think im pushing the motor too hard, its got about everything but concrete fill, these teksid blocks have been 2000hp, nice rods n pistons, bigger main cap bolts, gurdle, arp everything, trick flow heads, its got about as much as u can, i know this thing isnt setting the world on fire but i think the stock ecu is getting to its limits. sry to hear about ur car also. the block is the same as any other modular car 4v or 2v.

i wasnt trying to directly point at the tune only, but this got outta hand, i feel like its the tune, or fuel or boost controller, i guess e will find out, i will call lid n talk to him personally.
 
its shouldn't be locked, closed, deleted at all. You should be abale to say what you feel, but just get it torn down so we can rule out anything else..

I know you said the cams were installed correctly but were both banks checked (with a degree wheel), I know for a fact that one cylinder to the other can be 12* difference. Not trying to blame anyone or suggest any wrong doing but these engines are quite finicky and it is easy to overlook important factors when building one compared to an OHV.

There have been many valid points brought up, I think once you go through the list you'll find the problem. Sorry you had troubles again.
As I offered before, if you need help with anything don't hesitate to ask. I have been running and building Modular engines as long as some of the best of them.
 
Not sure what you mean by this. I had a bullet proof engine making around 1280hp, but when the boost controller failed and the gate closed, it literally broke the TFS cylinder heads into pieces. Detonation will break *any* engine, and it's not reasonable to say that once a car is tuned, it should never detonate at any boost level/rpm no matter what else is going on under the hood.

All I'm saying is to take some time to figure it out, don't just blame it on the tune. If you do, you may build yet another engine and end up back in the same place again.

Kinda where I was going in a previous post. The car can't be tuned for anything and everything all at once, especially on a stock computer.

Why? I didn't say shit until you came in running your mouth. All I said was back off Ben for expressing an opinion...

So... Lidio told you to come back for additional fine tuning? It sounds like he knew something was off there and offered to look more in depth at a later date.

I am sorry that your project took a turn like this. I hope a mod might trim some BS out and let you get support and help from the guys here and not close/lock this.

good luck getting it taken apart to find out what gave. Its not easy when you cross a certain HP level everything gets so much more crucial, keep at it.

Driveability = fine tuning... if there are hiccups in the tune, they would be caught in driveability tuning.

I meant every word of what I said on FB. We could go into that here (since you keep bringing up "our personal issues" when I'm trying to stick to the discussion at hand, but I doubt you'd want these people to know the truth about you.

Im just saying i wouldnt let you change a wheel on my car so your input means dick to me. You know nothing thats why nothing of yours is ever finished . Understand now? Ppl alteady know this ' thruth' same can be exposed about you. Pot..meet kettle ;) like woah. Just don't acknowledge his existence, that alone will give him nothing to be right about and preach on and on about. No matter what you say, you will be wrong. Just go about your life like people like that never came in to your life and things will be much better.

I'd personally like to see this thread get back to the car and, away from this constant bashing of "those who never touched a wrench, and blew his car up. Thus, you are below me as a human being.".
