Look what I bought Saturday((HELP))

:werd: I had a 3:91 and a 3 speed 727 trans in my Dakota and spun 4500+ on the freeway around town on a freshly rebuilt motor.

I didn't read all of this, but there's no rev limiter on the car?

it busted the tip off the stem at the keeper .

it could be as simple as component failure ... its happened to all of us and for no obvious reason.

Thanks, I didn't feel like digging through all of this. lol

It's awesome to see a lot of you guys helping him out. Good shit.

i cant help but i can be logical lol ... he might be a backroom hack builder but im not sure if he can held responsible for clear part failure . and im in no way defending him . im just bringing a different veiw is all .

How can you say it broke there first and not at the face from kissing the piston, then getting smashed/broke from beating into the piston and valve head that was rolling around in the cylinder. You can't your specualting just like I was.. none the less if you take a look at those oh so sweetly "professionaly" notched pistons by this professional engine builder; We both can come to the assumption he has no fucking clue what he's doing.

Going along with the fact he LIED in the sale add, Lied about knowing how to assemble/build an engine based on them sweet pistons he whipped up. I'm gunna go ahead and say this was SOLEY a failure due to miss assembly/poor craftsmanship on the builders part. More than likely like i said It had improper piston to valve clearance after the freeway trip, the valve got hot and grew enough to kiss the piston (the exhuast valve will grow which is prob why its the one that hit an not the intake plus a favored exhuast side on the cam)

If it was me I'd already have been to his house dealing with it an if he didn't have the balls to work out a deal and clean up his mess we'd be in court.

that still does not explain why the tip is still locked int the retainer .... all the bad nasty break shit forces are going the wrong direction to do anything but push the stem up and out of the locks / retainer , at least that how it seems to me right away ?

since those are not the valves listed in the ad , could that mean they are old fatigued stock valves possibly with to high of spring pressure ?

dont take what i think as gospel broham .... its just a few what ifs .. call it brainstorming ...

all those pics say ..... part broke n got sucked in to the motor . and fellas if the dropped at high rpm like everyones talkin about ... wouldnt the piston look more like this ?

now we all now every failure is different . mine was a new set of springs and 1 decided to permantly play the limbo ya know .

10:1 / 58cc / busted exh spring. lol.... yeah its ugly ..

I was going to stay out of this but I just cant believe that someone would pass that off as a "professional" job. No where near professional, Id even call it lower than hillbilly.

Id go with all that want to support and return the car while demanding money back.

That I agree with 100% I truly think it broke at a idle when started up like the buyer said. There is way to minimal damage to the pistons and clyinder to of broke while at any kind of rpm. It was be in shambles compared to what it is.

buit its till does not excuse the BS ad and the fact that motor could be a deep south 1/4 mile dirt oval 250$ roundyround motor sourced from the old family farmtruck .

its like a bitch with nice titties ..... all the shiny pretty stuff on the outside dont count if the inside aint worth a fuck! which is the case with this.

lol This might be arguable I've met alot of "decent" chicks that were retards upstairs an latley been meeting alot of stellar looking women who seem to be able to carry way more of a in depth conversation and are not as much as a bitch as people make them. Just gotta get past the barrier at first then its smooth rolling.

btw back on topic haha
