Went out and bought FM4 and an Xbox just to play it. (Along with MW3 and BF3). Sold mine to a member on here a while back. I got pretty far the first night, didn't get to play much yesterday. Took a sick day from work to curl up and die all day. I was excited to see the difference in this over FM3 because I consider myself to be pretty decent at FM3. I didn't think they would change much, boy was I wrong. So far here is what I think from where I'm at.. (LVL 30 IIRC).
The handling feels different, in a very very good way. It is OUTSTANDING. You really feel "connected" to the car. FWD/AWD cars turn better, which is nice. In FM3 if you try to take wide turn going 50MPH in an evo, you would end up calling state farm shortly. I'm happy they fixed that. I've been using a C6 Grandsport S700 for the "S" races and I'm happy to see they fixed the unrealistic traction. In FM3 if you had the ZR1 modded up to S or low R3, it would do rolling burnouts at 100MPH. Now, it seems to be perfect. Stab the throttle in first, of course it will spin and you will die. Roll into it easily, and your mint. Stab it in 2nd gear, it wiggles for a second and goes. It just feels so much more realistic. I can't say the same for the Supra. S650 Supra will literally lose traction at 130MPH. I don't mean a wiggle, I mean full on instant death 180 spin.
Drag Racing, I messed with it for about 2 minutes. I took the Supra and put drag tires on it, it still spun to 3rd gear...didn't notice a different from the Race tires. I'm sure there is more to it but I wanted to get progress in the season first.
The graphics are beautiful. They spent a lot more time making the background look nice. Some of the cars interiors are a little jenky, and a few cars headlights look like shit..Kind of jagged if you catch them at the right angle.
The race menu is a major change, I like how you can choose the different bonus options. Though, I wish they would mix up the season events more. It does get boring after doing the longer races.
Like many of you I was worried about the Affinity and the free parts, but I actually LOVE it. That is the reason I stopped playing FM3, a few friends were over and we messed with engine swaps and stupid stuff. An hour later my 18 million credits were gone and I was stuck with a garage full of 1000HP Kia's.
Load times still suck, and I was expecting more cars (I didn't look at the online lists), but at the end of the day its a very good upgrade from FM3. Worth the buy. Hopefully this weekend I'll have more time to play and explore more of whats in the game.
headsets are good to have so you can talk shit lol.I noticed last night their is a lot of people that play online in the drag racing tend to try and smash into you if you're getting the lead.
Yes, that is annoying. I didn't play with the MM group much (They only invite me in BFBC

) but when I did everyone seems pretty reasonable not to do that.
