It's finally in Forza..... Forza players get inside...

I knew that existed last night, but I just kept taking the car I wanted the most out of each group. Besides, since the cars come modified up to a class cap anyway, the values aren't really accurate and would fluctuate greatly based on your accumulated affinities. If you have 100% affinity for Ford and no affinity for Chevy and you have one of each to choose from, the Chevy might be the better buy even if the Ford cost more to buy the car itself since you could get it's mods for free and getting the Chevy gives you a class car pre modified to help you build up affinity for future Chevy event list needs.

I've been doing it based off Affinity needs + what I like... So far I haven't had too many tough choices. I just picked up the SRT-10 Ram so I am going to use that to build my Dodge affinity... I maxed out my Ford & Chevy affinity for the parts discounts.... Almost maxed out my GMC affinity for freebies... Working on Honda and will be doing Pontiac as well with the 69 T/A...

Things I learned last night, you can't engine swap a Volt but it looks pretty rad slammed on the full suspension and rolling on some 20" Fikses with the front splitter, it maxes out before reaching the top of A class.

Can't engine swap a Leaf either. You can upgrade the electric motor but you're limited to like 250 HP or something like that.

I was disappointed in my lack of ability to make electric cars Monster earth killing machines.

I'm at Ford Level 9 and Chevy leval 8 Affinity. The affinity starts getting hard to build up real fast but you start getting decent money for it. 55,000 I think I got last on Ford. I really need to build some Dodge and Plymouth affinity. Might have to hit the auction house and see if I can find a cheap Cuda someone won and didn't want to get a cheap start on the Plymouth.

Holy shit, looking at the list, I knew I should have taken the Lancia 037 at level 11 but wanted the Cosworth Escort. Fuck, 24000 to 240000 and full affinity compared to no affinity. I dropped the ball there big time.

And fuck does level 30 suck. Daytona Coupe at 5 million, 330 P4 at 9 million, and the MkII at 1.5 million. Obviously you have to go witht he Ferrari, right? 4 million is a lot of money to pass up. But it is the car I will want the least there.

The list is a nice to have, but I don't think I want it for anything other than to avoid buying a car I'll potentially pick in a few days. As for the decision process of selecting a car, I'm more interested in make & model than I am value. Pick based on what you like. Racking up money in this game is easy enough to not have to worry about cost. The only time I would decide on value is if I didn't like any of the cars in the list. JMO...

I posted it just to show what lies in store at each level upgrade. Funny that it only goes to lvl. 50, yet you can go far beyond that. There are definitely some decent cars to select from after lvl. 22-23.

Finished all the Autovista challenges last night. No special reward other than two "hidden" walkarounds. Started into year 6, which is still R3 class at the moment.

I think I completed year 4 last night. I haven't raced anything higher than S class yet. My Thunderbolt built for S class is a fucking monster though. It's all over the place, kind of like the B class XB Falcon for those that raced against it Tuesday night.

In general I agree, get what you want, but who doesn't want the 037 eventually and who isn't at 100% Ford Afinnity? 240,000+ is still a lot of racing's worth of money up to level 25. By the time I'm to 30, the MkII will be what I want more but 1.5 million is reasonably obtainably. 9 million is a shit ton.

Don't forget there's the one achievement that pertains to the five most expensive cars in the game. Might be something to think about when selecting the later cars.

I haven't raced anything higher than A Class yet (aside from the initial test run in the 458...) --- but I think that's all about to change when I get home from work.

I *do* love the active aero and such though. I have the Plymouth GTX Hemi and I *LOVE* the air grabber in the hood that opens up!

As you go through the seasons it slightly pushes you to move into higher class races but you always have the option of going and getting in a different car and it'll usually give you a race for it.

I tried the Kinect driving and headtracking yesterday, and was not impressed with how jerky it was, how it kept "losing" sight of my head even though I was sitting perfectly still, and how little side-to-side vision there actually is. Interesting gimmick, kind of cool during autovistas, but that's about it.

Also pretty challenging is the custom paint-scheme generator. Holy hell, it will take a long time and a lot of fiddling to just get some patterns or graphics that look halfway decent. The fact that some designers have created liveries like this:

using only primitives and shading is incredible

the paint shop has consistently sucked from 2 until now. I had 40 hours a piece in a few cars in 2. You could make 1 million plus each selling good painted cars in the auction house then. Now with store fronts the prices are down and it isn't worth the time.

I was wondering how that would work. I had debated about picking up a Kinect, but I think I'll wait for now.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I'll have to try spec'ing a car up to R2 and see if it'll give me a race in Year 6. I did manage to hit affinity lvl. 10 with Lamborghini last night, which was $65k in the bank. I'm inching closer to buying a racecar for the upper end duties of the career mode.

I was given an R1 Peugeot and the Rahal Letterman car from my Forza 3 garage. Don't have an R2 yet though. I see that by level 50 I'll have a C6R and a S7R though.

I've had the option for one or two R2 races now. I didn't end up doing it because I didn't have a car I liked for it, and didn't want to spend the money yet on making one. I figured I can wait until I'm gifted one to at least get me going. I think I'm on level 17 or 18 now. I didn't play much last night. Maybe 2 or 3 races after the Tigers game last night.

How about we plan on having a bunch of us on tomorrow (Friday) night??? 16 player race sounds like fun!

I'll be on Friday after 9 pm. Would it be worth it to get a headset? Right now I can't talk, and can barely hear what other racers are saying.

I love the headset. It comes in handy for races.
