It's finally in Forza..... Forza players get inside...

Yes, you blow through the first five seasons. I think it goes 5, 7, 10, 12, 14 races for the first five seasons. In year 5, you're already getting into R3 class cars, so you will wanna have a decent stable built up. It seems like in the World Tour, you start with one class, and by the end of it, you're starting the next class of cars up if you choose. It also updates if you choose to do it with a lesser car. Essentially, you could do all 10 seasons with a Class F car if you choose to.

What cars you are driving in what season depends entirely on what car you are in at the time. If you were in an R3 car and go into the season it will give you races for it. Jeff and others ran the Fujimi Kaido traffic race in like D class cars, I ran it in an A class car against an A class opponent.

I had some thoughts this morning, someone needs to try these. Sell parts that you bought with 100% affinity. Do you get money back? :)

If not, buy the cheapest car possible for a brand you have 100% affinity in. Like go to Ford, get the King Cobra. Mod the hell out of it, now try to sell the car. How much money will you get for selling? Have to find these loop holes and capitalize early before they get closed.

Yup - I ran the Fujimi Kaido traffic race in a B Class camaro.

ooo - good idea. I'm going to have to look in to that.

Yep, but it's capped on the high side until a certain point. Right now in year 5, you can run at most an R3 car. I had trouble with the first race, and I tried using a variety of cars, including a TT Gallardo Superleggera, and the Rahal-Letterman M3, and ended up just doing the Golf R spec race to pass it. So far, I've been running them on the higher side, but that one tripped me up.

Anyone else enjoy the Top Gear bowling? I did it in the Cee'd for the 'Star in a Reasonably Priced Car' achievement.

I'm curious about lap times. I think you can run laps a ton faster in FM3 than you can in 4. I want to say I went around the 'ring in sub 7:20 in an S700 ZR1 in FM3. Last night, my S700 ZR1 was in the mid-to-high 7:40's. That's beyond margin of error or changes to PI calculation IMO. Keep an eye on your lap times - especially the tracks you know well... :mmm:

I liked the Top Gear Bowling. I've had to do two of them now. The Auto-X was pretty difficult I thought. I did it in a Mazdaspeed 3.

I usually try doing ALL of the lower class races before going to the faster cars, but I may mix that up.

Hmm...the 2012 ZR1 does it in 7:19.63 and the older one in 7:26:04. I wish the times would have been more realistic.

One thing I noticed, unlike in FM3, where you'd pick a series, FM4 will let you do individual events throughout a season. I went to my event list to see progress, and noticed it wasn't updating. I had run 3 Gallardo challenge events, and inside it showed my progress as 0/3. This may be a bug, because some events are recorded and others are not.

I had trouble with the autox as well. I hit 1-2 cones each time. First time was a Focus RS, second time was the TT Lambo. More power makes it that much tougher.

They also do it as a flying lap and NOT from a dead start. Are you doing 1 lap of the ring - or two?

Shaun built an old Spec Mustang in 4 last night. In 3 those cars were mid to low C class. Now they are B class. Check the specs other than PI on your 3 and 4 ZR1's, I bet the 4 ZR1 has inferior specs when looking past the same PI.

The 2012 ZR1 with the optional Cup tires and the optional old trans does the ring in 7:19. A new ZR1 without those options might even be slower than the old 7:26 time.

Unfortunately, it's hard to tell which options the car is spec'd with when they developed it. I'd guess it's just a bone stock variety. Shame you can't pick options when you purchase a car. It would add a new dimension to the game, aside from the upgrade shop.

I don't think they label the car as a 12 so it would be the old car. In the game, you hope they make a car like the ZR1 the base tire/trans car. It makes the car more flexible. If it came with the tire option then there just wouldn't be a sport tires upgrade in the upgrades list as it would already have that tire on it. Beyond that, what options really matter to the game? Gears? You can make that adjustable with upgrades too.

As a side note, it's pretty sweet we can discussion things this specific pertaining to this game. What little I've played so far has been great.

X2. Also, if you want to check out your laptimes (and others in the motown club) while at work, check out the forza4 online forum:

You can sort by car club, and see our times. Here I picked a race that everyone had to go through - Road Atlanta Club Circuit with an F car. Of course, I expect to be at the bottom in all these lists :spank::

This would be pretty cool for drag times as well, I think...

So far I haven't driven anything other than muscle cars - they are so much damned fun! I did a couple laps in the Focus RS, but other than that and the ONE race in the Ford Ka..... I'm trying to get my affinity with Chevrolet up as well. I do have to say, I am very disappointed in the lack of engine swap options for the 93 Cobra R... No longer can you swap for the big block OR the mod motors...You're stuck with the 302 - not that thats a problem, but it does make it a bit more limited.

Anyone found any stupid motor swaps yet? I found the 70 Camaro can go either LS3 or LS9... And that the 65 Mustang can do S/C 5.4 GT500 swap and the Ford Stock Car motor..... I love the 65 Mustang GT. Probably my favorite car so far. Weighs like 2300lbs is all.

Never underestimate my ability to be in last place every time.
