Dodge Demon

So where are you suppose to stick that stuff if your driving your Demon to the track? Ok your demon is probably on a trailer. If that's the case, dont you already have all that stuff? Lets just throw the logo on anything we can think of.

Market share.
While the tools are no use to most guys, the collector, the guys that will buy these and leave them in the corner covered up just to say they own one will all buy one of these kits.
I can see it at Barret Jackson now.... "included in this auction is a special tool box offered by the Manufacture and Made by Snap on Tools....

Smart move by Snap on.
Sell the kits @ 10-20% under cost to FCA and get millions in advertising rights.

My parents got a grill with their Durango.....

It never worked, prolly because it had the dodge logo on it.

Also to let the record show, you can buy tools branded Ford and GM performance. Maybe they just haven't been an obvious money grab like this.

If I bought a Demon I would probably be one of the guys that would leave the Demon tools at home and use my banged up regular tools that I've been using for thirty or forty years. I def see the collect-ability of both the car and the crate stuff. I don't think it's tacky really. This is the most drag strip oriented street-legal car ever built by any manufacturer. The crate emphasizes what this car is built for. This car comes from the factory with drag radials and skinnies for gosh sakes!

so 815hp and 757tq sounds better

Yes, that sounds like a plausible combo of numbers to me. Did we actually learn all the contents of the crate is what I wonder? Could there be more performance parts in the crate that would further increase that number from the as delivered state? Or is it really just tools and skinnies?

still racegas scenario, if 815hp is the race gas number or not

autoblog definetly a better article.

Yes the autoblog is a better explanation, but I don't have a clue on the math. Maybe launching at 405 lb ft since it's all about torque control?
