Diesel trucks racing on Woodard Friday

That video makes me cringe. It seems like big tires and lifts are the common denominator when you see that happen, though.

(this is a caption from the vid)

This is a friends truck on a bad pass, trans keeps melting clutches and the auto doesnt like the power at all. Truck runs our New On 3 Performance 60mm wastegate. Runs mid/high 10s on a clean pass and going for 9's. Very environmentally friendly truck

Choo Choo!

i cant believe there are people on this planet that dont like diesels. that blows my mind. lmao. how can you not like an engine that can make insane power/torque with such little work? im not sayin the diesel in question in this thread was a stock truck with a tuner...not the case. but i AM saying if i could afford it i would own a diesel truck in a heartbeat. the fact that they are loud, dirty, stinky trucks make them even cooler in my eyes. call me a hick or whatever, but i would MUCH MUCH MUCH rather see a shit ton of diesel trucks on woodward than 93 crx's with folgers cans and underbodies. just my .02
I love my 1650 lb ft at 1000 rpms.

This bad boy is 6x6 with all independent axles and tips the scale at nearly 35 tons! I was the powertrain and cooling lead engineer on it. A good friend did the IS stuff and it came out great. It was originally all solid axle before we did the recap program for it. CAT C9 engine.

to be honest I saw that truck run at least 2 times and it was about the same pace as this one
and they probably took it up to 80-90ishmph

Last I remember I put 4 cars on your mustang...oh wait, that was your daddy's car. I have an 11s slip and like I said, it's nothing special - car is pretty much stock. I never said I could beat that diesel, but a S/C'd Z will, maybe not off the line, but in a long run, it definitely will.

Oh you mean four cars when you didn't see the cop and then you got the ticket...Way to go! Yes, also the night I had my dads mustang that I paid for as a gift to him, yes that would be the night. I hope you are not trying to brag about a used $36K vette....

Still calling bull on your 11 second time slip...never happened....if it did I am sure a Sr. Programmer can figure out how to scan and post! :)

I'd like to try that diesel at the strip with my S/C C5 and I also have a 11s slip :) and it's a convertible to boot.

I would hope you would have an 11s slip, (My 4 cyl Evo had low 11 slips) but Lethal argument was that Z06s run deep 11's high 10's stock.....you have neither a Z06 nor are stock. I am sure after 100 a s/c vette would win as it should
