down with the UAW...

Just kidding

The UAW sucks, and yes, I work for Ford. They have been selling us out for years now. We pay $50/60 a month for union dues, and they all get 10 to 12 hours a day pay, are never around, and always goto Vegas or Black Lake on UAW paid trips. :bs: It really does suck, and the people who do drink on the job, and never come to work, are the ones that get the most protection because they are the UAW's party buddies. Makes me fucking sick. :puke:

They only do when/if there's an accident. We had a kown acholic on days, he had a case of 40's in his trunk, and would go out pretty much whenever he wanted to the parking lot, and down one. He dropped 2 big racks of bumper shocks, and they gave him a breathilizer and sent him to rehab. He came back, and this time he took out a fence/ barracade, got twice the amount of rehab, but still came back.:bs:

we had a guy that they kept "firing" for being drunk, until they got smart and fired him for "horseplay" or some b.s. when he broke his leg, and it stuck because our local was sick of dealing with him......dude was barely in his forties and died within a year after that......

A guy that drank a pint a day, on the floor here, retired and died within 2 weeks after retiring. It's rediculous how many times the uaw will fight to get someone back that was stupid enough to do shit like that in the first place.

UAW workers need to report this shit. You need to complain. It might be too little too late though

As a UAW member, I would like to add my own commentary about this. If you had to work with the r-tards that run Ford Motor Company, you would all drink on the job too. And dont think for ONE SECOND, that its only hourly people who are out there drinking. I've worked under levels of bosses that spend you car payment on coke every week. I worked with one supervisor that had to medically retire he was such a chronic drinker that it destroyed his liver and he couldnt work anymore. That company is filled with incompetence from top to bottom, thats why the stock is 8 bucks a share.

at Milan on midnights, our supervisor would smoke crack in the bathroom stalls.

Matt, the reason nothing happens, is because everyone has shit on everyone. This place is like Melrose Place or some shit like that.

Typical union BS, "Its not our fault its managements fault" cry me a river piss me a stream, I am so tired of the Union guys trying to pass everything along to management. I have worked in several ford buildings and still do, The BS the UNION guys pull is amazing I cant do that its "not my job", Im just glad the tables have turned and that attitude is going to push many guys out of a job. Perhaps you can explain to me why the people building the cars on the line with little to no education make more then the degreed professionals who engineer them? My advice is take the buy outs because when the contract come up Alan M is not going to put up with the bullshit that has been pulled in the past he was brought here for one reason to bust the union, he did it at boeing he will do it here. I have the feeling when a strike is threatened he will say fine and just replace all the workers will the people already in line. The days of the lifetime job is gone and the assy line workers are going to be paid on their merit and work ethic. Once the Union is gone Ford and GM will come back stronger and better then ever and I look forward to it. A factory job is not a upper middle class job.

Well as an educated UAW worker I'd like to respond to this one. First, I was taught in college that companies need it's employees. Take it from me Management treat their employees like shit. They harass, intimidate and generally believe non-skilled labor are total morons. Second, I was taught that companies are not for just profits but to build a strong lasting institution that works well with it's community. Horseshit, companies are bottom line and that’s it, they would see you down the river for two pennies. So as a college educated UAW worker I say :flipa: FUCK Management. Those greedy bitches

All I will say about this shit is, don't lump us all into one basket. There are good workers out there, me being one of them. The shit that some of my co-workers get away with makes me sick. AND THEY GET PAID THE SAME AMOUNT AS ME WHO IS BUSTING THEIR ASS ON THE LINE!

If you are one of the ones who show up and do your job and do it will THANK YOU that wasnt directed towards you. But if you are one of the ones who punch in and take a nap, or fall asleep on the toilet, then im sorry there is no place for you at these companies any more

overpaid employees is part of it but building uncompetitive cars is also a big part of it.. the bread and butter of most companies is small and midsize cars like the civic/accord, corolla/camry. ford has the focus( an '00 design that keeps being rehashed) and the fusion that nobody wants without big rebates

My lazy ass dad did the same thing with GM, literally, I used to meet him at the bar for lunch. He'd get there before me and would leave long after me.

And by reading some of your posts, I think you guys are just pissed you dont work with the UAW and instead make 1/2 of what they do.
