The drive to the D left the GTO slightly dirty, who am I kidding? Months of 100˚+ weather made me lazy and not want to wash the car. The drive to Detroit didn't help. Knowing I couldn't cruise with a dirty car, I called Mark and asked if by chance I could use some garage space to get the car presentable for the WDC. Thankfully he was able to accommodate me on Friday morning.
Just to give you an idea of how the car looked before you guys saw it:
A little wash:
I had to clay the car considering I hadn't clayed it in at least 4 months. This is what the clay looked like when I was done:
Mark let me try out some Auto Finesse wheel sealant on the Foregline's. It smelled minty and did a great job.
Much to my surprise the paint was not filled with swirl marks and only needed a one step polish. Thank goodness. After I was done polishing the car, it got a coat of Dodo Juice Supernatural.
Oh so pretty now:
Thanks again Mark.
