Apparently, you can't fix stupid in Camp Mustang...

Wow!

I never knew camaro guys were bitter and unable to accept defeat.

Ford built the better car, get over it.

Better for what? Ps one responds a ton better to mods and isn't maxed out on boost, wanna guess which one?

What is it with you and you "link?" and data print outs and spread sheets?! You ever do a search yourself? You don't get all your info hp just from MM do you? Jeez!edit: Oops, beat me to the punch.
It's an inside joke that obviously you aren't part of lol.

In all seriousness, the ZL1 is a cool car, and if I were in the market for a $55k 4100 lb, auto trans, road course car that ran "mid 12's at 114 all day long", it would definitely be my choice.

You must be right, because every auto magazine except MM&FF picked the ZL1 too based on overall results.

Come on man, at least know your enemy!

Whoever told you the GT500 was anywhere near maxed has access to some strong shit!

No argument there. Ford definitely made the biggest dyno queen of them all. Plus it goes super fast in a straight line. If that is what you want, then the GT500 is for you. If you want a balanced car that does everything, that doesn't cost extra if you want to race it, then get a ZL1.

This thread had it's 1-year old birthday and nobody put down their keyboards to celebrate in internal combustion harmony.

Ya'll are uncivilized buffoons. You should all realize a 79 Caprice coupe reigns supreme over all..

Man, these meds are awesome...

A buddy of mine that is an exotic car dealer has consistently been buying GT500s from Ford dealers and re-selling them for over sticker. He got a ZL1 in a trade that was all black and was telling me that he thought it rode really nice. I asked him what he thought a couple months later and he said "Fuck that car" after having it for months without anyone even calling on it.

Except goes fast. Also, can you get me tickets to the 4100 lb supercharged car race series? Thanks!

You always want to talk straightline speed when it comes to the Camaro vs Mustang debate, so let's talk about the cars most of us can afford. Outside of you and a few other in Motown, most of us can only afford Mustang GT's or SS's.

Ford always has, and always will need SVT to beat the camaro in the quarter (and for a while, they needed it to beat the Trailblazer SS, AN SUV!)

From Edmunds:

Camaro SS - 0 - 60: 5.1 sec. 1/4 mile: 13.1 @ 110.4 60 - 0 Braking: 111 ft. Slalom: 68.2 mph Skidpad: 0.89 g

Mustang GT - 60: 5.1 sec. 1/4 mile: 13.3 @ 107.3 60 - 0 Braking: 117 ft. Slalom: 65.9 mph Skidpad: 0.87 g
