WAIT - did you change the sand to the filter??? Important...
When did you shock it? I would give it 24 hours to let the chlorine calm down. And I hope you used regular chlorine bleach to shock it and didn't pay $5+ a gallon for 'shock'.
I am going to be doing an engine swap but I can swing by after I finish it up this evening.
When was it changed last?No I never changed the sand...![]()
True but if it has been a while and with sitting over the winter that shit in there can get really packed and not allow the circulation of water to flow threw causing his issue. I change mine every year, what is it like $5 bucks a bag? Plus it really helps with keeping the pool PH under control! Most common mistake with pools being cloudy is nasty filter sand!He doesn't need to change the sand every year...
I shocked it around 3 pm yesterday and I threw another gallon of shock in there like 20 minutes ago. And last night around 12:00 am I put 3 gallons of chlorine.
I should be home when your done doing your engine swap. my cell is 586-360-6455 hit me up.
Should I leave the filter running while I leave to go to work or wait on one of you guys to check it out?
Well, if it draining out your pool I wouldn't keep it on unless you want to exchange some of the water out of the pool. If you change the valve from test to filter, the water issue should stop.
It did. No water shoots out the back no more. I dont know when the sand was last changed. When I moved into the home last year I didnt open the pool. They had it open the year before then. How do I change the sand is it to late?
I would get new sand too... Fuck it let's get this bitch right...
goto Evergreens on 8mile... Grab some sand... Grab 3 bags...
We can change all this shit out... When I get off work I can swing by before my softball game at 8:30... I can be at your place about 6:30ish
We have to disconnect the tanks and drain the water out of the sand tank... And pop the top and dump the sand... Fill it up... Backwash it... Then filter it...
