I have an older 96 seadoo GSX ski that im having some issues with. I just dont have the time to dig into it and it appears to possibly be an electric issue. Could be simple ground possibly. I cant get the thing to power. Had the mpem computer and dess key checked and those apparently are all good. But when i put the key on the ski, i get no gauge life, and no power to the start button. I know the starter works as i jumped the solenoid and it turns.

If I had time I'd check it out for you. These do sometimes have issues with the key connection and need to be messed with before they read. However if you do end up needing it I have a mpem for a 96 GSX that I parted out a while back

I did have the MPEM "bench" tested along with the dess key. i was told it all was working accordingly. So im really not sure what the issue would be. Quickly checked some grounds and all appear to be ok, but other then that im at a lose! Figured if i could find somebody that knows more then me to take a look, they'd probably be able to figure it out alot quicker then i can.

I have 2 colleague that are hard core into these. I'll ask them and see if either is able.
They both bought old junkers earlier this summer and got them up and running again and have been riding quite a bit.

Had a 98xp and had a similar problem. Ended up unplugging and plugging in the big main harness to the computer in the front of the ski , Doing this made the connection seat better

was a common problem with the xp's dont know about the gsx
