Chrysler service techs - remote start issue

I know we used to have some Chrysler service techs on here. Hopefully we still do or maybe someone knows this.

My parents have a 2014 Dodge Durango Limited. They have 3 different key fobs and none of them work. Not a single button press function works on any of them, but.... passive entry and keyless go both work with no issue. It also never shows a key fob battery low message or any other key fob or RKE related message. Since I know these cars have one antenna for the remote keyless entry and a different set of antennas for the passive entry and keyless go, logic dictates that their RKE antenna is bad. Any easy way to confirm this? Anything else that could possibly be causing this situation?

Lastly, they mount these things at the top of one of the D-Pillars, correct? Driver side or passenger side? I'm guessing it is pretty easy to replace but any tips? Since I don't think the antenna needs to be programmed and it is cheap (~$40) and seems easy to replace, I will probably just wind up doing it for them.

Not an FCA tech but I have some questions/ideas

Have they owned it since it was new/Have all 3 FOBs ever worked at the same time?

Can you go in the dash and see how many keys are "assigned" to the vehicle?

Have you tried getting in the vehicle, and operating the FOBs?

Can the FOBs be relearned with a button sequence?

Are they the MB/Daimler FOBs with the Infrared tip or an old school key?

Hi Mike. Thanks for the suggestions!

Yes, owned since new. Two of the three FOBS are original. The third was purchased from the dealership when they thought they lost one of the other ones. All three have worked in the recent past.

No idea if I can see how many FOBS are assigned. I would think if they weren't assigned, it would not let you unlock the doors or start the car with the push button start. It has to recognize the FOB to allow that.

In the car or out of the car, the FOB buttons do nothing.

remove the load floor and the quarter trim. if you have small arms you may not have to though. The RF hub is in the the left rear corner and the antenna is either above the glass or roof mounted .
