Anyone have the 06 Ram with MDS?

ive been lookin at the lease prices on Rams and am really lookin into getting one i was wondering what you guys thought of it when it shuts off 4 cyls hows it on gas when cruising with 4 cylinders the only reason im asking is ill be driving to OU which is about 40 miles for me round trip twice a week and besides that everything is about 5 miles from me so just wondering if its to bad on gas.

And all around what do you like about it what dont you like im looking at the Hemi Big Horn ED.
 
my mom has a 04 durango with the mds and it actually does save gas on long trips were u use the cruise a bunch
 
yep i have 2006 quad cab hemi with that system my wife drives it full time ive only put about 500 miles on it since we had it she drives 8 miles to work so she dont drive it like i do but she dosnt notice the difference in power


i on the other hand drive it like it should be driven. i took it up to the sand dunes over 4th of july with my camper behind it (pop up) at idle to 35 mph on normal driving it feels ok its in 4 cyl mode you stand on it and it comes to life in a hurry im very happy with the overall perf. of this truck as a daily driver

ive had 5.3 vortex in 4x4 chevys
5.4 triton in my 04 f150
and now this 5.7 hemi

i can tell you that this truck flat out whips those truck ass in stock perf.
it does make more power i know but its smooth and quiet to boot im very happy with our hemi

i leased mine about three months ago for a 1000.00 down and its 231.00 a month for 24 months thats taxes included (ec discount) no release

by the way it runs up every hill at the dunes never got stuck lol...
