Anyone ever use watson racing(brownstown) for tuning?

Pay the agreed upon amount. A man is only as good as his word. He went back on his, which makes him no good. If he was planning on not paying then he should have told Watson to get fucked to their faces. Not bitched out and do a chargeback after he got home because he caved to his wife.

And if Watson was wronged, then they have a myriad of legal options, but they are all predicated on them having things like an estimate. So they really screwed themselves. All it would have taken was one phone call, and the whole thing would have never happened. Intead they went down a path of getting themselves screwed. They fucked up.

I could be wrong here and I am in no way connected to any party here but wouldn't dropping off a car for a " tune" be similar to dropping a car off for a $100 tune up at the local mechanic . It runs but you are looking to improve performance. If you dropped it off not running similar to a "no start " condition at your local mechanic then wouldn't you expect additional fees on top of the tune up? I'm not going into details on the price because nobody really knows what was done but if I knew it wouldn't start I would make it clear if there were any other fees. I have no experience with Watson but when I called Lideo he made it clear that he wanted me to drive the car for a lil bit before the actual tune was done and even offered me a " base tune" that the car could be driven on. It seems like a tune at that price would be to dial everything in on an already running car which you did not have.

They will not get "yanked" for not giving a written estimate. Especially if it was not charged. Your buddy is not going to have a leg to stand on if he hasn't paid for anything. No damages = no "crime".

All your buddy can complain about is he hsi not happy with the service, that is is. He was not ripped off in any way shape or form.
 
ok blue thunder and squidd I am pretty sure we all know where you are both from. I dont have to come on here and bash anyone. I have phone records showing that the whole two weeks the car was there they only EVER called me three times and two of those times were mr watson himself and the girl at the front desk. The car was running GREAT when it was dropped off and even had two people look at it. NEVER once i gave them permission to fix anything. I would have went and picked it up. I called on the 15th and was told they had not even started working on it. Then When I call to get my dyno info john gets on the phone and cuses me out. So Yes I did stop payment on it since now I Have YET to be able to drive the car and have to wait again to take it to the tuner(which goes thursday). What kind of shop goes online to diagnois a problem with a car??? Unreal Maybe they need to learn how to comunicate with the customer more and to say I went to the shop and knew what was going on is crazy Like I said my daughter was rushed into the hospital monday the 18th and we did not get out until the 22nd so tell me when did I have time to go up to the shop and my phone records clearly show that I didnt talk to them that whole week until friday the 22nd when I was told the car was sitting there not being worked on and I wanted to come get it. If my piece of junk was not running they should have told me to come get it then right.

Pay for what? I have a halfass running car.... i had all intention of paying my bill, until i got cussed out because i wanted what was supposed to be mine in the first place.....plus the car runs like shit. Im in the middle of having my maf sensor moved closer to the t.b. or i would invite anyone that disaggrees over and listen and drive the car and you give me your opinion....

Any time I ever had my car tuned if there was a problem, get a phone call "hey, this is whats going on, we can fix it or you can come get it and bring it back" Should have been as simple as that.

And here is where the problem is. You went back on your word you fucking dirtbag. If you had one fucking ball you would have told them you were not paying shit and left with your car. But since your wife keeps your balls in her purse you told them you would pay them, left, then stopped payment. That is a 100% bitch ass move. I don't care if Watson slaughters puppies down there, it doesn't change the fact that your word is worthless. It's a good indication of what kind of person you are. A douch.

I had a similar situation with a shop that claimed to tune high performance vehicles, they blew the motor in my supercharged cobra and fked up many more cars after........ they are no longer in business.

I will give you this advice, document everything, contact a lawyer and things will get resolved I promise you
 
Everytime I hear Kim's name its bad and has been for years. I was always a skeptic until I put a borrowed motor in my car last year which Kim built, brand new never fired motor. It made two passes and pushed the head gaskets out with barely no timing it the motor 8*. Fixed gaskets and took it back out with only 4* in it on a soft tune up and it ate it ate all the plugs at 400'. motor came out and got looked over buy a reputable builder who found out it had over .012" piston to wall clearance and wouldn't seal up. Brand new motor and the piston to wall clearance was way way off. I've heard so many stories of him blowing peoples stuff up on the dyno its not funny, stay away from him and any company he associates with would be my advice.

Thats funny, someones car there is twin turboed and it was blown on the dyno also.....from what one of there employees told me.

First off i paid before i even got the car, so you dont know shit. I didnt cancel payment until about 4hrs later after they never called me back and then john cussed me out when i called them back to find out where my dyno info was.....oh yea my wife keeps my balls away from ball suckers like you.
