Any GM service techs?

Well it appears my 09 Sierra has acquired a common issue, service stabilitrak, traction control off and engine reduce power mode. I haven't pulled a code because the truck won't go over 20mph and my Diablo tuner must be out dated because it won't communicate with the ecm.

Long story short, I've read online that you need to replace the throttle body assembly including the tps, my question is.... Will I need to have the ecm reprogrammed? Or can I replace the assembly and go on about my way

Some scanners other than the tech2 can calibrate the tb. If you are swapping pcm's, then a tech2 is needed.

My 2010 silverado has been sitting all weekend with similar issues including a long crank symptom.

Has to be weather related with the rough storms over the weekend. Ran good until now. I can disconnect the battery for a while and when I reconnect it will run fine for a few miles then tach goes to 0 and service stabilitrak and shifts like a donkey kick

Have you tried another scan tool besides your Diablo? If you do not have another, try Autozone. Report back with the codes they find OR if there tool will not communicate.

Sounds like a bad wheel bearing/wheel speed sensor.
Scan it for dtc's. If none, watch the speed of each wheel on a scan tool at very low speeds.

Took it to the stealership and it was the tps located on the accelerator pedal, apparently the tps on the pedal has to communicate with the tps on throttle body, otherwise u get all these issues. After a $1,000 replacement pedal and labor, truck runs amazing

1000.00 for a pedal, WTf they have used cables for 100 years and they were fine

When I was at Mercedes, the drive-by-wire accelerator pedals with position 1 and 2 sensors were 1 hour ($110) to replace and a couple-few hundred buck for the part. IDK what makes GMs pedals worth gold

Yea if I didn't have the adjustable pedal option the part would have been 210 and labor was 2.5 hrs

Just an update, 1 week after changing the accelrator pedal the truck acted up again..... took it back Tuesday and they changed Throttle body along with TPS, drove for 20 miles and truck went into limp mode again. Today they are changing the ECM.... Almost $1700 later

That $1700 should not be on you to pay. At least not 100% of that. Maybe tech labor or parts (at cost) invoiced, but not 100% of that.

Would Consumer Protection be applicable here?

Damn! I am sorry to hear about the bad diagnostics and spending so much. I chimed in with some direction and never got any update.... Make sure the techs are going over everything per tech bulletin 08-07-30-021H

sounds like the parts cannon works great at this dealer,

Idk if it applies to that year but for the longest time it was never the pedal. Sime times it was the TB but they had an issue where the tb pigtail wires broke from being unsupported. The TB came with the pigtail but usually it was just a bad wire

I wouldn't be paying a dime more at this point... I would also be demanding that my properly functioning, previously removed, parts be put back on and a refund given. Is this the dealer that you bought the truck from and had it serviced at?

I had the EXACT same issue with my 06' Lincoln LS. I checked reference voltage, reference ground, sensor signal to/from all pots, all fine. There was no issue with the dbw system. I was about to pull my hair out. Then I had a crazy idea. I swapped the coil closest to the pcm with one from the other bank. Issue did not return. I replaced the plugs and coils of course. It must have been emmiting emi.

Obviously different vehicles, but try swapping some coils around.
