GM Service techs 5th gen Camaro Active handling issue

My thoughts are since it's a 8-year-old car and almost at 100,000 miles, it would be a wear item like the wheel speed sensor or a bad ground. I'm not even a shade tree mechanic though so..

They have that big electrical tester thing that should be able to find that though. That is where I am stuck.

I drive the 2011 Camaro and when the service stabilitrak comes on, It happens intermittentlywith mild-hard acceleration and the entire car starts to shake, the car downshifts and goes into what feels like a reduced power mode, there is a rattling noise coming from the rear end and the car overall drives very rough. If I don’t immediately turn the car off, the problem will correct itself after some time and the car starts to drive normally again however all of the check lights are still on. In total, the car has been in service for 20 days for this problem and It still isn’t corrected.

I just did some Googling,

Chaffed wire harness at the throttle body, spark plug/coil connections, metal debris on the wheel speed sensor or broken valve spring(s)

Thanks, I'll check into that. I just checked for codes and there's nothing.

Welcome to Motown Muscle - you in the Detroit area? Or did googling your cars fault lead you here?

When is the Vegas trip?

I am going in April! There is a Rockabilly and car show called Viva Las Vegas - I went last year and it was fun...

To get back on track - The stabiltrack went on and off intermittently on my 2010 Pick-up with the 5.3. It was the TPS - Once the dealer changed that out, it never happened again. The symptoms were the same - Truck shook, went into the limp home mode. If I turned it off, everything would reset and it wouldn't happen again for a bit...

Just my .02.....grr

So I drove the car a bit today and got all the lights to come on. The only code in the DTC was P0207. "Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinder 7" so this is completely screwy. One thing the dealer did last month was all new injectors but I'd be at a loss to see how this is related to everything else. The check engine light was on too in addition to everything else.

A misfire will shut the stabilitrak down so that is probably why they did the tune up, injectors and stuff
