Another wheel thread.

I think think it would look at better if i lower it a bit more, just the rears look pushed in too much for some reason. IDK. Saleens have always looks sick also tho, just dont have a lip...

OMG!!!!

truer words were never spoken!

what size you looking to run ??

im running 295's rite now, and its rubbing on the exhaust, i dont know if its because its installed wrong or what, came on the car. I wouldnt mind running 295's or 305's or 315's if i lower my car a bit more.

i'd keep what you have and lower it some more... i think you car looks unique with those wheels and the color to match.

I would agree with lowering the back half an inch or so I think the fronts fine, I opted for 3 sandbags

not even putting a spacer in there?
Ok, right now the flange of the wheel sits to far outward. That pulls the wheel in closer to the car. You need to figure out what size spacer to run, to correct that.( Or, re install the exhaust.) When you get time, go out there, measure from the side wall to the inner fender lip, then take that measurement, crawl under the car and see if it will give you enough room between the tire and exhaust. If so, look for that size spacer.

OFFSET! OFFSET! OFFSET! backspacing is like a different language to me, but its essentially the same thing as offset. just measured from a different point.

you can go lower. it wont make the wheel stick out any further. adding a spacer, lowers the offset. thus, pushing the wheels out away from the hub.

im not gonna argue with you (jason) about "correct fitment". everyones opinion of perfect fitment is different.

Dane, I think we have about the same taste in fitment. You're just posting up stupid JDM Driftah setups.:run:

yeah. it really depends on the car. like my E30 (BMW) needs to be dumped, and have 16x9 +15mm offsets. stretched/cambered, etc. but it has very little power, so traction wouldnt be an issue. i like the look, personally. but when you need tire, you cant skimp. if you need tire, you need it. looks come 2nd. haha.

i just found those 2 examples to help illustrate my point.

It's easy to say CCW's but I'm sure he doesn't want to spend $3500 on wheels.

I prefer the SSR split 5 spoke

Where'd you get this pic? I talked to this guy a few months back when I was looking at cars. I was really considering buying it. This is one of the best looking cars I've ever seen. I love everything he did with it. I think his name was Nick and the car was in New York. At the time he was asking about $17K for the car. The body has about 90K on it but the list of mods is quite extensive.
