Shoot White Out on here and he can get you an exact quote, I want to say it was a little over $200 with the hub for my car.

Sold my Torque Thrusts and then bought a set of C5 motorsports wheels. I hate polished lips on wheels so I plastidipped the lips black and left the faces gloss black. They currently have shaved Toyo Proxes RA1s on them so that should make the next couple auto-x a bit more fun.

Was prepped for E-stock then later ESP. I'm sure the stuff I do will move it to a ridiculous class where I will be way outgunned, but I'm just there to learn, don't really care about placing high in my class.
 
after talking with some friends i think i'm going to pull the LT1 and sell it, a friend will sell me a carbed 355 for $500 and i can throw that in so i at least have something fun to drive all summer and save till winter and do the 5.3 or 6.0 swap.
 
Sounds like an expensive step backwards... I would think by the time you swapped in the 355, you could probably have your 5.3... Do a little searching and you could have a 5.3 crate for ~$5-600, with harness, ready to bolt in... I think with the crank spacer, your LT1 T56 would bolt right up.. fuel would be easy.. stock LS1 engine mounts should be easy to find. A little searching, and some elbow grease, and you can make the harness a standalone...

Of course everyone has their own ideas, but I think the 355 might end up be a bigger pain...
 
thanks for the input. i agree, and now that i got the LT1 running (ended up being the fuel pump relay) and i can hopefully drive the car when i want to i'm not trying to swap it as quickly. i just hate this LT and hate that i have no trust in the car making it home if i take it out. i'm going to search for a 5.3, hopefully i can find one in the $500 range and i'll snag that up and start piling swap parts.
 
Found a 4.8 for $400, any reason i shouldn't grab it? 103k and comes with manifolds, i would then source a LS1 intake for it.

Lt1 t56 is not a bolt in for an ls1.

correct, i'll either have to swap out the input shaft and front cover or find a LS T56. i'll probably just convert mine over because id imagine it's cheaper than selling one and finding another.
 
need to get a K-member, LS1 spindles (so i can run CTSV brembos), the LS trans conversion stuff, and intake manifold, and i'm sure a lot more. time to start saving for parts.
