I'm building an 84 GT drag car. Stock width 8.8, with Eibach drag springs I'm looking for advice on tire and wheel sizes for the rear. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
i dont care what anyone says............ its still funny as hell that roger owns a mustang!
As started 10" with 6.5 backspace is biggest. 8" with 5.5 is most common. either will hold a 28 10 slick without much more than the common beating mods to teh wheel well and rolled fender lip. BTW the 10" inch rim makes a huge asthetic improvement!
Edit: here is my car with a 10" 6.5 backspace rim and 27X11.50 hoosier QTP, and before i centered the rear in tje car. It tucks a little more than the pic shows now.

Ya know, I always thought the same thing. Especially back in the Ramcharger days when he was building a Chevy.i dont care what anyone says............ its still funny as hell that roger owns a mustang!
That does sound like a good idea............................................
Where about in MI are you located?
Thanks Roger. You know i'm just giving you a hard time. Lol.It's a good idea....all his stuff is nice and what he says it is... and those rims fit good!(i've seen them on his car...)
Mitch, i was as anti mustang as anyone got back then....now with what i have and what i know there is no way even with the 48 more cubes of a chevy motor could i have taken a 480 lift cam and a head with 1.9in & 1.54ex valves and go 10.3X on a stock short block. Although i'd still rather have a G body car!
