'67 Lincoln Project

Got the car to fire yesterday - but not run. Turns out I was (at least) a tooth off on the distributor. After poking around a bit, we found that the carb was leaking pretty badly. I'm gonna get the carb rebuilt and hopefully I'll be set. It's getting CLOSE to running.

Unfortunately, I don't.

You might have some luck on thelincolnforum.net There are a few local guys who seem to have a few parts cars.

Ya, I'm all over that forum and so far nothing. I came across one a few months ago and I thought the guy was outta his mind for the $$$$ he wanted. Now I wish I bought the friggin' thing! DOH!!!!

Keep pluggin' away on yours, I'm anxious to hear it run.

Yep - took it to American Carb and they did a great job on it. Bolted it down and it still didn't fire.

I lost all momentum and will to work on the POS. I'll yank the distributor and try and re-set the timing one of these weekends.

Damb, that sucks. I get discouraged with mine to sometimes. Just had to pull my power steering pump off only to find out that it's cracked internally and is now scrap! That's a $600 part and I am lucky to find one!
If I get some free time, I'll be more then happy to give ya a hand.

Shit.....I was gonna suggest sending it out for rebuild, but sounds like it's not able to be fixed.

These cars are ridiculously expensive. But allegedly worth it when done.....at least that's what I hear. LMAO

And thanks for the offer, man. I need to be a little methodical setting the timing this next time. If I still come up short, I might take you up on your offer!
