'67 Lincoln Project

 If the pig didn't take up over half of my garage, it would be a lot easier to forget about.

But, I'm definitely hoping to have the car road-worthy this Spring. I wanna ride this wave of motivation and hopefully get the car back together this week. We shall see....

Not yet, but have been poking around in the garage to make room to work on it. Might try and get a little work done on it this weekend, but most likely not.

The OP spends his time smoking some meat rather than working on this car. Therefore, no updates.

True story.

Nobody beats my meat!

But seriously - there will be little to no progress this year, as I'm currently studying/sitting for the CPA. Once this monkey's off my bank, I should/could devote some time to this wonderful garage ornament.

Well, I didn't want to update this thread until the car was actually running. I had a nice break from work over the holidays and spent a ton of time in the garage. Long story short, the engine is completely back together! I tried to fire it, and quickly found out my mechanical fuel pump is shot (thinking the rubber diaphragm is dry-rotted out). I'm sending the pump out for rebuild today, so hopefully I'll be able to fire it up next weekend.

Here are a few pics of the progress:

Thanks, fellas! Hoping I get the refurb'd pump and it fires right up...time will tell.

SWEET! Keep goin'!
Where'd ya send the pump to?

I'm sending it out to Mike Casella at Then and Now Auto in MA. http://www.maritimedragracing.com/then_and_now_automotive.htm

Apparently he's THE man for old school mechanical fuel pumps. $95 and it'll be better than new, allegedly. I want to retain the factory 3-port pump to avoid vapor lock, otherwise I could grab a cheapy 2-port from O'reilly's and see if it'll fire. Hoping this does the trick, but we'll see.

Got the fuel pump back last night.....and despite being sick, still jumped in the garage to bolt it up. Good news? The pump looks AWESOME and it's definitely functioning!

The bad news, the car's still not firing. Gonna tear into it a bit tomorrow. I'm thinking the distributor is off a couple of teeth, but we'll see.

You wouldn't know of a local place (or person) that would have a drivers side mirror would ya? 67-69 are the same.

Unfortunately, I don't.

You might have some luck on thelincolnforum.net There are a few local guys who seem to have a few parts cars.
