a friend of mine is looking for a 4th gen f-body rearend posi disc brake.he is really looking for a 93-97 i guess he heard the brakes were better then.but anyways he pnly wants to spend like $200-$300.so if you have anything which im sure theres tons of them on herejust pm me and let me know thanks.

got a 95 3 channel. Would need $450 out of it though. 75k miles, just a few thousand on GMPP 3.73 gears, less then 1000 miles on trickflow rear girdle, new rotors, lifetime pads, wheel studs sway bar endlinks and royal purple fluid. Could do $350 w/o the girdle.

you can use any if its going in a third gen since it wont have ABS. I also have a 9 bolt posi for a 3rd gen if he is interested. $150 but it needs a rotor, pads and a caliper if he wants to keep the parking brake since the parking brake bracket broke on the caliper. Was drained and inspected so will also need a gasket and fluid

Thanks
Jeremy

the car already came with a disc brake and posi from the factory but he wants the never one because its a little bit wider.he wants to run the stock wheels but wants them out a little bit more without using a spacer.

Well i got that 4th gen LT1 rear. 350w/o the girdle or 450 w/ the girdle. Its actually already in my 3rd gen so it already has the adapter fittings for the brake lines so that saves him a step. Let me know if hes interested but prices are FIRM.

Thanks
Jeremy

P.S. If you get me more info on his stock rear end I would be willing to do a trade plus a lil cash on his end for my 4th gen rear.

have him check to see if hes got the holden rear end, if he does, going to a regular 10 bolt will be a huge drop in strength. Those holden rear ends are remarkably strong. hed be better off with a spacer

If it has nine bolts on the differential cover its a 9 bolt(Borg Warner "Australian/holden". If it has ten bolts its the ten bolt. If he wants a 9 bolt I still have that one cheap.

does it look like a dana 44 cover or like a oval turned upright ? If its a oval turned upright its a 7.5 10 bolt Gm rear. If it looks like a lazy diamond kinda like a dana 44 or dana 60 but smaller. Its most like a BW 9 bolt.

Look by gasket shape. If you have a 9 bolt. Ebay that sucker or put it in Thirdgen.org. guys are always looking for that rear even though its a total pile of shit like the 10 bolt. It is only marginally stronger.

Although exceedingly more rare. There were some Dana 44's made for some company out of NJ for some SLP T ram firehawks. It is widely romoured and I have never seen even a picture of one but maybe somewhere out there is a Dana44 for a third gen.
