2014 Ford F-150 Tremor debuts

Working down here in TX and i happen to see a Tremor at a dealer, what the hell i'll take a look.

nearly $50,000!!!!!!

Fat ****in chance! lol Only a 2wd truck as well. crazy.

looks good in white though...

my favorite part, +$5000 for "market adjustment"

I doubt we see many of them on the road, especially rare to be owned by anyone who'd want to make them faster.

How incredibly stupid and disappointing. I was really hoping that it would be a cheap sport truck.

I still never understand how all these enterprising capitalists get so upset about "market adjustment." Has there ever in the history of the internet been a negative thread or reply on a forum about a dealer adjusting the price below msrp?

I'd say that's conditional. A new GT500 or some new badass whip I wouldn't be surprised to see that kind of markup, but this truck really isn't all that special, certainly not 50k special. It's a 2wd regular cab truck with an admittedly sharp interior and a rear end gear unique to it. Other than that...

If they mark them all up like this they will look pretty on dealer lots all year.

Well I mean seriously, is their a huge demand for the tremor? It's not like the Ford GT when dealers were selling them well over sticker price. The demand, the market was there.

But the tremor... really? Yeah, a lot of us were interested. Then we saw the price tag for a std cab parts bin truck. I'm not seeing an over whleming demand to justify that.

Milnes ford in lapeer has a silver one and it has been there for a long time and imlay city ford has a black one so they are not hard to find!! Price mark up is the actual dealer ripping u off its a joke.

Yeah, but who cares? A dealer can list a car for whatever he wants, just like people can underprice or overprice their house. Maybe they can get it, maybe they can't. Either way, it's just an asking price, just like MS(uggested)RP. If they can't get it, then they'll have to live with the consequences. People have paid way over MSRP for all kinds of dumb cars in the history of the automobile. People paid over sticker for shit like the PT Cruiser!

I just find the fact that it pisses people off funny.

People STILL think that dealers get the entire selling price. They also think that sales people get 10% of the sticker price as commission. Yet these same people will go to Art Van and "negotiate" 50% off the advertised price on a couch and think they got a great deal, when in reality the mark up on furniture is insane! If we had that mark up on vehicles I'd be driving a fucking Ford GT as my Winter beater while my F1 car sat in the garage waiting on summer days. :shake:

We do market up limited production vehicles (Raptors, GT500's), but just because we do it doesn't mean we always get it. Just like DBK said "Suggested" sale price. Marking those cars up makes up for the Fiesta's we sell at $300 a copy to the dealer.

5k on a Tremor is stupid, if they were going for that, I'd be shipping them down to Texas by the truck loads.

Hey trunk is there any rebates on tremors? Or is it sticker or marked up sticker only. My brothers friend bought a new boss 302 last year and he paid like 10k over sticker but they only made a few and they sold fast so I could more understand the mark up on a mustang but a f150 no way I dont care if it does wheelies from the factory I wouldnt pay it lol!

You should see some of the dumb shit people pay over sticker for. A buddy of mine just sold a full size Range Rover Autobiography for $200k! FUCKING $200k!!! The thing stickered under $140k and will be worth half that in 2-3 years. If someone has money burning a hole in their pocket that bad, it would be a crime not to take it.

You win some you lose some. At the end of the day, anything is worth what someone is willing to pay for it, and not many people are in the business of turning down less than they can get.

HOLY SHIT! 200k.... nope

and I would never pay 5k market adjustment on the Tremor... You will never catch up to resell it if you get sick of it and trade it in (unless you put a HUGE down payment on it or pay cash)
