2014 Ford F-150 Tremor debuts

Why would you discuss future product when you've just announced the new one? If there's a Raptor in the works, I wouldn't launch it for a year or two anyways. Given the massive task of retooling for this truck at two plants, get the base truck dialed in, then worry about the rest.

It's nice to see they killed a ton of trims and made packages instead. Can't wait for the configurator to pop up.

It's a complete nightmare to order inventory right now. There are 10 different trim levels, 27 different wheel selections, 4 different engine selection, 3 cab configuration, 3 bed lengths and so many "package/options" I didn't feel like counting. Having a large selection of options is one thing, having too many is another.

Damnit... I just wanted a blue truck.

when I was a kid you went to the dealer and (ordered) your new car from the factory and waited 6 weeks are those days done?

can you even order a car anymore?

I can't imagine trying to build all of them. I never understood the FX2/FX4, and STX trims. Those should just be a package that's nearly identical, other than drivetrain, and the components should be made common as much as possible. Same with Limited and Platinum. Why both? Why not one a package within the other?

They give more options and packages as a incentive to buy from them

Who wants to wait six Weeks I dont! You tell them what u want if they dont have it they dealer search till they find one

Not every vehicle configuration is sitting on a lot waiting to be bought. My last few vehicles have been orders because I wanted what I wanted and no one had it available. I agree the wait sucks.....but it is always worth the wait to get what you want.

Ordering a car is more fun than buying off the lot. I don't see why I wouldn't order again if I had the time to wait.

I ordered my 2011 but had Matt search for my '13. It had more to do with incentives being available than anything else. Incentives change monthly so if you were to order a vehicle, you have no idea what the deal is going to be by the time it comes in.

I thought you could lock the incentives in at the time of order?

You can lock in certain incentives but not all of them. Also if its at the end of a model year and the ordering bank is closed you're screwed. Ordering is cool, but most people won't wait
