2013 GT500 Certified at 662hp and 630 ft-lbs/tq

The article just got updated, Ford's official numbers are 1 more torque.......so 662/631.

I'll be impressed once the 0-60 times, 1/4 mile times and top speed are released. If it can't/won't beat the ZL1 it's a complete failure IMO. HP/TQ #'s are for dyno queens and Supra's. Track #'s are for the real world.

It's going to whoop the ZL1 and Tim J (Mr. 98 camaro) is going to owe me a steak dinner.

GTs are in the mid to upper 40s. I've seen quite a few over 50k.

LOL, how did I miss this before.

Base MSRP is $30,300 for a GT 5.0 coupe (that is without incentives or A/X/Z plan). A totally maxed out GT 5.0 vert premium with every single option will MSRP for just over $46K..........which is ridiculous yes but still not over $50K.

GT coupes have a hard time breaking $40,000.

My car's sticker was $40,035 but thats with 9K+ of packages and options.

Mustang GT's are $30k's cars. Just like Camaro SS's and Challenger R/T's

so they are 20K less then a Corvette

I love that they are making this kind of power. Hopefully GM tops those numbers soon, then Ford ups theirs...over and over.

I sure hope the EPA puts strangle hold on these cars. It's obvious Americans just don't know what's best for them and the car companies are just adding to the problem. Obama save us from the evil car companies!!!!!

I don't like the placement of the alternator, what if you drive through a deep puddle?

Alternator has been in that location since 2003 on Terminators. No problems related to water that I know of. If you get it that deep in the water, alternator is the least of your worries ;)
