There has been no accusations of rape at MSU. And if Dantonio or Hollis tried to cover it up, I'd call for some firings. It's not whether the player is any good. If the player did something in 2009 to get expelled in 2013, why wait. This is more like Penn St than Rather Hall.

Again, the PD found nothing to convict. At the time, any investigation had to be done outside of the organization and involved direct input from the victim. That rule changed in 2013. You can keep clamoring for a conspiracy, but till evidence is provided proving it, there's nothing more than a MSU fan hoping for it.

Sorry, I went to bed early most of the week.

Payne and Appling should have been kicked off the team. Period. Especially since Appling basically confirmed the incident. The decision not to prosecute was the choice of the Dictrict Attorney Stuart Dunnings. He made the wrong decision. The President of the school (LouAnna K. Simon), the Athletic Director (Mark Hollis) and the basketball coach (Tom Izzo) all knew about the incident.

While the victim apparently had a history of crying rape, again, Appling has appeared to confirm the report. And I would say all three administrators (including Izzo) should have been fired.

The MSU Police felt both should have been charged with 1st Degree Sexual Conduct which can end up with life in prison. I don't know what kept Dunnings from prosecuting this. I don't know what he shared with the MSU administration. Payne and Appling were moved to an off-campus apartment which is not allowed as freshmen.

Were the MSU administrators convinced the act didn't really occur? Did they move the players off campus because of the demonstrators? Simon, Hollis and Izzo have never commented on this that I'm aware. If they believe a rape occurred, then yes, they should be fired.

This is the same instance, so I am not overly worried. Though at this point, his coming back has done more to hurt Um's perception than help. Hope he does well in the NBA, but I wont miss him at this point.

As for Hoke. He's no different than any other coach and that means they don't discipline. Personally, you get a DUI, you should lose your scholarship and be done on the field. You get convicted of any crime, and it's over. Don't care if you're Carlos Hyde, Denard Robinson, or Tim Tebow.
