2013 College Football Megathread

Taylor has not been charged with anything. Questioned by Police is a little different than charged. Ok, it's a big difference. The accusation is beyond suspicious. Taylor Lewan, in a red short sleeved shirt after the OSU game sees an OSU fan trip over this fence:

and decided to savagely attack these 29 year old patrons of the Lord Jesus Christ while they were just trying to enjoy a quick drink. Meanwhile AAPD is standing by laughing their ass off while slapping Taylor on the back. If you're buying that story, I have a bridge you can buy connecting upper and lower Michigan.

Dantonio suspended someone who has previously been involved in a bar fight and been suspended (not just accused of being in a bar fight) for violating team rules. There is nothing about these two situations that are remotely the same. Now if Dantonio had suspended him because someone reported that he may have violated team rules, or someone had accused him of smashing in the face of a Michigan fan after the Michigan game then you'd have a point.

So who has Hoke suspended? At least you know your second offense (whatever this may be) will be suspendable at MSU. Between Lewan twisting helmets, punching players and assaulting OSU fans show that when it comes to discipline, Hoke is a joke. Murder would probably cost a player a start only.

Ryan, you do know that the Colorado incident was a misdemeanor right? And that this was in March? Any punishment would have been during spring camp. So MSU suspends their best player and UM.... sticks their head in the sand and hopes it goes away.

http://www.michigandaily.com/sports/toussaint-clark-will-‘pay-price-poor-judgements’ - 2 players suspended (Clark and Touissant)
http://www.detroitnews.com/article/...2/1345/Lions-get-safety-pull-within-one-13-12 - Hagerup supended for entire season.
http://www.bing.com/search?q=brady+...=-1&sk=&cvid=7837e3191d1b49aaae7d786d3d6f6184 - AJ Williams suspended.

I can carry on, but I'm pretty sure I've already listed more suspensions in those than Dantonio has done in his entire tenure at MSU.

Please show me the charge against Lewan.

Nope. Still expect them to pull off the win.

Just to be clear, Bullough had to do something horrible to get suspended before the most important game in 26 years as well as his last game. Add to that he was a senior captain and scholar athlete. The guess here is at least a DUI (Christmas Eve?). I know colleges say they can't say why due to privacy, but the reason will get out.

I'm curious what it was. Doesn't seem like him, but I know he had a run in as a freshman for a DUI. He didn't seem like the type to make stupid decisions, but you never know.

The same PD that arrested Stonum? The same PD that arrested Clark? If you're going to make wild accusations, at least try to stay in the same universe.

As for what he did? Seems like it takes rape to get dismissed from the team based on history, so I'd say it was a DUI.

Who are these guys? Are any of them any good. Oh, and Hagerup was redshirted...

And that is called a redshirt. He lost no eligibility. He played in 2010, 2011 and 2012. Playing in 2014 is four years of eligibility.

Are you really this dense? He didn't play for a year. It wasn't an expected outcome and wasn't driven by a medical problem. That is called a punishment. A second punishment would be that he loses a year of eligibility. One is ruled by the NCAA one is ruled by the local organization. I'm not sure how I can spell this out more clearly, so if you can't figure it out, it just goes to show that the general sentiment about your mental capacity is spot on here.

Thankfully the "Whatever Bowls" are over. Can't wait to get back to seeing some real football.....No one signifiant (i.e.: anyone worth watching) ever plays before Jan 1st.....

Thankfully, they don't let the teams who cheat play at all.
