MSU number 5 in the BCS???? thats what the experts say

In honor of the Buckeye game against Sparty:

A buckeye and spartan are walking through the woods when they come across a set of tracks.
"Those are deer tracks" states the buckeye.
"Clearly, those are from a dog" argues the spartan.
"No way, definitely from a deer"
"You're crazy, those are dog tracks"
"deer", "dog", "deer", "dog" they argued.
Finally a train hit them.

Must have been train tracks... LOL!

Meyer says (as expected) he won't further punish the players involved in the fight. I don't fee bad about not punishing the one, but Hall did more than just get in a fight. He disrespected his team and the rivalry game. I'm not shocked by this at all. It's Meyer after all.

Now the question is, how many teams can MSU jump by beating Ohio State. Obviously not for a NC shot. Baylor? South Carolina?

Sounds like MSU is going to the Rose Bowl, regardless of the outcome of the Big 10 Championship. Most likely going to play Stanford.

It's fine with me, but I still want MSU to win next week.

If OSU wins and goes to the NC, the Rose Bowl bid will go to an at large bid. Probably Bama or something that of that nature. Same reason MSU didn't get the Sugar Bowl bid when UM did. MSU either wins and goes to the Rose Bowl or just goes to another ordinary bowl game.

not necessarily true. Though unlikely, if OSU wins and gets leap frogged by Auburn, OSU would go to the Rose Bowl and MSU would probably end up in a non BCS bowl like in 2011

Also, if MSU loses, OSU goes to the NC, and MSU drops out of the top 14, they could get passed up for another team. Again, unlikely, but it still is a possibility.

OSU wins, they are going to the NC game and MSU won't sniff a BCS type game....

I disagree. who would the Rose Bowl take over MSU? This isn't 2011 when a strong UM team is competitive and a better draw.
