2013 College Basketball Thread

Well, I think we did have a "marquee" victory....until Kansas lost to TCU lol

Yeah Kansas fell flat on their face recently, not sure what to make of that, but I still consider that a nice win for MSU. I'm honestly most concerned about Michigan's defensive rebounding issues Tuesday. I think this has been our weakness all season and Payne and Nix hitting the offensive boards makes me nervous. Can't give 2nd chances up to a team as good as MSU, especially on the road. Offensive rebounds cost us in all 3 of our losses this season, especially the Indiana game.

Yes, I think Michigan is 'IN'. As for strength of schedule, I can only figure Michigan's B1G schedule was stronger than MSU's. Michigan's only 'marque' win was NC State. Other than the first game against UConn, MSU's losses have come against teams that are ranked in the Top 25. MSU beat OSU in Columbus and beat Wisconsin in Madison. They lost to Indiana by 5 in Bloomington. I'm happy with how MSU is playing right now, especially when half the team is nursing injuries. We should beat Michigan at Breslin.

So as far as those injuries go is there any word on who is likely to play or not play Tuesday? I don't follow MSU closely enough to know, plus I'm sure they aren't really publicizing their injuries too much, thought maybe someone out there in sparty land could enlighten me on their current injury issues.

I think MSU obviously has a very good chance to win at home on Tuesday, but I think Michigan will finally close out a tough road game and get their marquee road victory Tuesday. I'm hoping the tough close losses in Columbus and Wisconsin have helped to prepare our freshmen for what they need to do to help Burke and Tim Jr. get a road win against a top tier Big Ten team. Aside from McGary our freshmen in key roles haven't been showing up lately, especially GR3 and Stauskas, I've been very disappointed in the both of them recently.

Look at their losses. They are a joke. They got lucky against Duke playing them without their star player. The only substantial wins they have are against MSU and NCState.

The only player questionable is Travis Trice. He had a concussion and is day to day.

Ugly first half for you michigan folks. And who is the scrawny white kid in the #2 jersey? Time to bench him. Forcing up ridiculous shots.
