Rodriguez went out there to cool his players down. Most coaches do that. Hell I think even no-moral-backbone Dantonio would too.

No shit genious. I mentioned that already. Why was he hot for tripping over someone? Think he was angry when the play ended?

HAHAHA just read this on ESPN, "Tuesday night's Sugar Bowl attracted just 64,512 fans, the third-lowest total in the past 72 years." So much for those big traveling fan bases.........What a joke, I bet K-state v. Boise game would have brought more fans.....

That's not really saying a lot. Last years game between Ark and OSU was only 9000 more people than this year. Considering that it was VT playing it's no suprise that people didn't want to travel. I was going to travel to see the game, but not to see them play VT. If Ark or another SEC team (even GA) would have been there, I would have gone. The lack of a real opponent killed it for them.

You get tripped up several times and see if you're not hot. Hell, I get pissed if my dog trips me once.

64k is pathetic tho....... for a BCS game.....

I love watching the smaller games. The complete avoidance of showing shots of the crowd and then seeing all the empty seats when the right camera angle is required to show what went on during a play.

I can't find an article on it, but saw somewhere it was below 60k in a stadium that seats nearly 75k. the average bowl attendance this year is 49,000 fans per game. Promoters got greedy and now we're swamped with bowl games no one cares abou.

The average of coarse is gonna be low, whats the BCS average? Has to be 70k +

Hoke: no change to Stonum's status

January, 5, 2012

By Adam Rittenberg

Michigan coach Brady Hoke told reporters Thursday that there's no change to Darryl Stonum's status at this time following the wide receiver's latest legal issue.

Stonum, who is on probation for operating a vehicle while visibly impaired, was stopped by Ann Arbor police Thursday morning for driving on a revoked license. He will appear in court Friday for a regularly scheduled probation hearing, and Thursday's incident, described in one report as a probation violation, could be addressed.

Hoke indefinitely suspended Stonum following his drunken driving arrest in May and eventually redshirted the wide receiver. Stonum, the team's second-leading receiver in 2010, has one year of eligibility remaining.

Stonum has had several missteps at Michigan. As a freshman in 2008, he was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and driving with a suspended license. He spent three days in jail in summer 2010 because he didn't comply with terms of his probation.

Despite the latest issue, Hoke said Thursday he's not concerned with Stonum's decision-making.

When is it time to get concerned?

Also heard Narduzzi interviewed for DC at A&M.

I bet the Motor City bowl was helped greatly by having a pretty short travel distance for both teams playing. They also like to package tickets for it with other things, so if it only based on sales and not who actually shows up that number could be a bit skewed.
