3 rd year it took Saban 1 year 6-7 in 2006
7-6 in 2007 his first year
12-0 2008

Saban is a better coach and recruiter than Rodriguez, plain and simple, that doesn't mean that there isn't a light at the end of the tunnel for Michigan. Rodriguez started slow at West Virginia, not as slow, but the Big East isn't as good as the Big Ten, and he eventually had them in the Top 10.

John cooper has been gone for 10 years

Yes and the 10 years he was there, Ohio State got wrecked by Michigan. In the years since he has been gone, Ohio State has wrecked Michigan. In fact, I think, if you go back to the start of the Cooper era to present day the series is almost equal. The point I was making is that the power can shift relatively easily in a rivalry. The thing I don't like is that both Tressel and Dantonio made a point to beat Michigan and Rodriguez seems relatively passive on the rivalry front.

Michigan should woop Penn state they are terrible this year, a complete collapse I wonder if Joe pa will retire

Yeah they haven't looked good, but it's at Penn State and they still play power football like MSU. I think it will be the difference between a 7-5 and 8-4 season.

.

RRod has one problem Michigan will not allow him to recruit the type of players it takes to win they want students first football players second, if they would let him recruit what he wants or needs they would be better overnight , Michigan needs to realize these kids arent there for an education

x2 Dorsey would have been huge this year.

shit I didnt know denard robinson was his cousin

I didn't either...or maybe I had heard that at one point. Would of been a potentially good situation for the kid, if anyone on this team seems to have a good head on his shoulders it's Denard.

Kid admitted he fucked up, he was 15 playing varsity he had the grades, Mich screwed up

May have had to do with the whole "Old Blue" versus "New School" split. I think RR was pretty much told the kid would get in, and then they pulled the rug.

I'll just leave this here.

EAST LANSING -- Michigan State senior cornerback Chris L. Rucker was charged early Sunday morning for operating while intoxicated.

According to a ticket released by East Lansing police, Rucker was stopped at 2:19 a.m. on the 300 block of Grove Street in a 2002 Oldsmobile and had a blood-alcohol level of .10.

Coach Mark Dantonio announced Sunday night that he had suspended Rucker for a violation of team rules. He did not specify the nature of the violation.

Rucker is expected to be arraigned by Oct. 20.

Sounds like he celebrated a bit too much after beating Michigan.... It happens to a lot of people. I'm sure you've had people in your family get a DUI, Justin. Not condoning it, but it's not like he was mailing bombs to people.

Why is it every time a story is posted like this, it turns into well so and so did this, or so and so did that? Enough, I don't care. Get a fucking life already. It's relevant to Michigan football, because what MSU does from here on out matters, since they beat Michigan. Dantonio suspended the kid and I applaud him for it.

How is it relevant? Don't you all keep saying "stop living in the past" --- he was beat. Wait until next year for your rematch. All you keep doing is going "Oohhh, look at those thugs on the football field.." -- well, you've been beat by those thugs, 3 years in a row now... C.L. Rucker being suspended from the team for violation of team rules is a good thing, and I applaud him (Dantonio) as well, but why does it matter to U of M football after they already played this season?

Is the "big brother" getting annoyed that the "little brother" is getting a bit more difficult? ;)
