I agree Hoke will get 5 years unless its a disaster, and if it is a disaster it's Brandon's head and Hoke will follow him out.
I dont think he will, this recruting class is just horribe, then it would take 3-4 years for any of his recruits to do anything worth a dam, boosters and fans will not accept double digit losses for years to come..

His last year at Ball State, the Cardinals were 12-1.

cmon they played eastern ,this is all you need to know DB is a fraud.

Brandon insisted Hoke was always Plan A. What about Miles or Jim Harbaugh, who left Stanford for the NFL's San Francisco 49ers?

"The job was never offered to them," Brandon said in an interview with The Associated Press. "We did have different discussions with them that were helpful and positive."

You don't have a choice. If he doesn't get a fair shot (and let's be honest RichRod didn't) NO ONE will go to Michigan. Right now, I'd be more concerned with the games your AD wants to play than who the coach is.

Not my AD, this team is in big trouble, How can you say a national search and end up with this guy, could of hired him weeks ago if he was your first choice. Im done talking about it now ,Im depressed..

I'll remember that every time UM plays Eastern. Ball State beat Navy 35-23 and Indiana 42-20. Navy wasn't that bad, beating #16 Wake Forest 24-17 and going 8-5. A lot of good coaches come from the MAC.

Brady can recruit this area very well. He was here for 8 years as D-line coach.
He will restore discipline and honor to the program. I don't think he'll complain about "empty cupboards", or make any excuses, or throw players and staff under the bus as has been happening recently. He will run an NFL style offense and demand tough, fundamental defense. His team will practice hard. He will recruit bigger, tougher kids. He may just end up being very good. Time will tell.

About 43 years ago Don Canham hired an unknown coach from Miami,Ohio.
The hire was so underwhelming the Free Press headline read "Bo Who?"
Yeah, Glen Schembechler was that coach.
Give Hoke a fair chance, he may surprise some folks.

Well he has been out of the big ten how long ? look he may be a good coach but im not buying it. it will take him years to get his "players"into the system,RR recruited nothing but little midgets so it gonna take awhile to get the next Jake long

Go ahead ,nobody can honestly say that this guy was their first choice, this is what happens when a pizza guy, with no AD experience is in charge of your football program.

Gonna be tough because Dantonio has been recruiting the hell out of Michigan. Very few recruits from the state recently have been recruited by RR.

Taylor Lewan 6'8" 295 lbs
Jake Long 6'7" 315 lbs

Kid played well as a freshman, a lot of dumb penalties, but that can be coached out of him. I'm not saying he is the next Jake Long, but I wouldn't really call him a midget either.

agreed... you don't need to have these discussions in person if you're just looking for advice.... not to mention you wouldn't talk to a bunch of other coaches publicly before signing your "first choice".

fwiw, hoke seems like a good guy, and will hopefully restore some tradition back in.

Those midgets only fit his style , and what talent do you speak of lol , So much for a national search ,im convinced Db is ok with being a below average football program..

Mike Martin, and oh this guy. Looks like Denard is on his way out huh? :bsjerk:

I LOVE that Hoke didn't dance around the Denard issue, he actually brought it up. "we have a special player, we need to utilize him"

I still wouldn't be shocked if he left, but at least he seems like he's gonna recruit him HARD.
