2000 formula firebird project

Damn Trig! I remember when it was a "cam only" car. Looks real good bud!!

Thanks man! As for the intercooler the owner of the shop rigged that up as a joke, the plan is to be ready to go forced induction within the next two seasons. As for now the engine would techinically still be considered "cam only". I have been contemplating building a good shortblock and running a bunch of nitrous this season though.

Thanks man! I can't wait to see what it is capable of at the track, it's been like 2 years since I've had it running decent.

A couple more photos of it. I need to get an adjustable PHB on the car and center the rearend side to side, but for the most part I'm happy with where we are at so far. Finish up the 8 point bar, install transmission, get a driveshaft made and I should be good. Oh, and put the engine back in the car.

Again, intercooler was a joke. :)

Here's how much grinding it took to run the 15x10 prostars without any spacer. Also, there is a picture of what happens when valve float occurs at 8500 rpm....

Slowly getting there. I'll order my gaskets and headstuds tonight and hopefully get the engine back together this weekend. Kirkey seat and harness will also be ordered tonight.

Dont have any real good pics of the notch, I was going to wait until it was buffed out. It was 4 cyl car that got a windsor swapped into it with a tremec, 8.8, cobra disc brake conversion, suspension, ect ect ect.

Car has been transported to the local speed shop that myself and Chris Hansen work at. I had a bit of a falling out with the guy who was doing the rollbar in the car. The car is sitting with a semi tacked in rollbar right now. We will have the engine and transmission back in the car this weekend and the rollbar will be fully welded in shortly.
