Anyone selling a good full size guitar? I bought my son a really nice guitar here about 3 months ago (and he LOVES it) but I don't want him to play it everyday and I don't want his friends/cousins touching it. I would prefer he only play it on special ocasions. He has two student size guitars, but is starting to out grow them. What do you have and how much you looking for? And yes Val's 3k guitar is out of the question.....

Thanks - Gene

Thanks Mike! Basically, I am open to what is available. Meaning, the most bang for the buck. I don't need it today or this week, BUT if the price is right then I would snag it. My son is not too picked and appreciates a nice guitar. Does he have a website with inventory?

I have a Jackson w/ a Floyd and EMG 81. The tuners are really high quality. The previous owner did not take very good care of it so all of the metal is pitted but works fine. It is white and says fusion EX on the nut cover. I would be willing to try a trade for the student guitars and maybe some cash. It sound great, stays in tune and looks good from about 5'. Pm me if you are interested.

More info on the Jackson? Year? What metal is pitted? How bad? How much without the trade? Pics to [email protected]

Thanks - Gene

Not meaning to troll or generally be a dick but if your son is a beginning guitar player I suggest you avoid Floyd Rose style guitars. They are a bit of a pain unless you have a good understanding of them. Just my .02

Totally agree, they are a pain in the ass to tune and change the strings on.

but the locking tuners more than make up for it- Not to mention you can always get a trem-locker or wedge it with wood. The CHEAP floyd copies more than suck though

Basically every piece of metal is pitted and rusted, right down to the heads of the pick guard screws. I think the guy left it in his garage for a few years. I took everything apart and soaked it in naval jelly and oil to free it up. I got everything working and have been using it sporatically for the past few years (I am not a good guitarist). the guitar stays in tune great (I think I am on the same set of strings from the rebuild). I really wanted to trade for the student guitars for my son. W/o a trade I would need $350. I will email you some pics soon. I am not trying to make this guitar sound bad, because, it has great hardware. The neck is laser straight. I dont want to lead you on either.

I've own a floating trem guitar and I love it. But if you use different strings you need to either set it up or have it done. Tuning them can also be a hassle because each string directly changes the rest of them. I'm not saying they don't have their place (I heard that Eddie Van Halen guy likes them). I just don't think they are really beginner guitars.
