winter storm warning in effect from 9 am wednesday to 11 am est thursday...

the national weather service in detroit/pontiac has issued a winter storm warning...which is in effect
from 9 am wednesday to 11 am est thursday. The winter storm watch is no longer in effect.

hazardous weather

accumulating snow will begin mid-morning wednesday. The snow may briefly mix with rain through noon.
Total snow accumulations around 10 inches are expected north of the m-59 corridor. To the south...slightly lesser
amounts of 6 to 8 inches are expected. Visibilities as low as one quarter of a mile will be possible in the heaviest snow.


impacts

travel on area roads will become hazardous.
Snow removal will be more challenging as snow character will be heavy and wet during wednesday afternoon and evening.

precautionary/preparedness actions

a winter storm warning means significant amounts of snow are expected or occurring. This will make travel very hazardous.
 
Had an ASE exam scheduled for tomorrow morning at a test center in Livonia. They already closed both Wednesday and Thursday for this storm...
 
We were promised snow, instead we have a light drizzle. Like a damn R. Kelly back stage pass down here. WTF. I wanted snow.
 
I'm out in Kalamazoo for the week they are supposed to get hammered with Over a foot
But they are used to that out here
