David Roy of St. Clair Shores got caught in a spin-out last Saturday with his 1985 Ford Thunderbird at Ubly Dragway. At close to 100 miles per hour, he slammed into the guardrail and momentum brought the rear-end of his car up over and airborne for about 100 feet, where it hit for the first of several bounces.
Roy was unhurt, thanks to a well-built roll cage, and other proper safety equipment in the race car.
looked like that was before the 1/8th... 100mph???
That car would be doing WELL over 100mph at the 1/8th mile.
he launches at 0:56 and is hitting the wall at 1:00
I know that car is hauling but 0-100+ in 4 seconds?
fair enough then, i can tell he's doin at least 80 guess the video doesnt do it justice. If I understand correctly that was a high 8 second car. That would put the 1/8 mile in the 5's and over 120mph. So it likely went 120+mph in 5.6-5.8 seconds, close to 100 in 4 seconds might not be too far off.
