I work in Saline and love it, living is kinda expensive out that way.

My taxes are outrageous in Plymouth Township/Wayne County. I've been looking for a new place in Washtenaw County. Depending on what I find my taxes will go down AND I won't be in Wayne County. I absolutely HATE Wayne County, nothing but a bunch of crooks!

My Canton taxes are dirt cheap compared to people in other cities that I know with comparable houses/move in dates etc. I wonder why the big difference. I'd love to move to the country with more property but hate the drive. If it's not work traffic time, it's not bad. I worked in Centerline 2 days a week, and Detroit 2 to 3 last year for about 6 months. Pure madness at rush hour.

Got married last summer...I live in Flushing and work in Rochester Hills. 55 miles driveway to driveway...Winters suck !! The drive, you get used too...It's nice to decompress on the way home.
