Your bill increase could of came from coming off a promotional rate. I would have to look at the account history. Depending on your cable package, if you bundled the phone to make a triple play they WILL rebundle you since your adding a service. Currently they have two year promotions going on for the triple play. After one year the price will increase, after two years it will increase again.
I didn't really mean to come off in the wrong way against an honest and loyal customer such as yourself. You have to realize the amount of "rats" we deal with on a daily basis.
For Example:
Customer "A" has a $99 triple play. So he pays $99 for cable, internet and phone. It's a 12 month promotion and after one year it will increase to say $145-$150. Customer "A" was CLEARLY informed of this when starting service.
The day his promotion expires customer "A" will call in and say hes cancelling his service unless he gets the identical rate. Since I started about a year ago they would just give him the $99 bundle again. We had this for a specific example in todays meeting. This customer "A" was a real person, and actually got away with this for
FIVE years. Now multiply that by the THOUSANDS of rats that do the same shit every time there promotion expires.
I tell every person that gets service from me, "THIS IS A X PERIOD PROMOTION, AFTER "X" TIME YOUR PRICE WILL INCREASE TO "X" AND WILL NOT GO BACK DOWN". So when that person calls back in 6 months later the management can listen to my call when the customer tells them I told them their price was good forever. People are ignorant. If I tell you this is going to go up "X" amount 6 months from now, and your not happy paying for that, why would you sign up in the first place?
If you are paying full price and you call in now, they might put one product on a short promotion, or give you a monthly discount of $10 and a free premium channel to keep you a loyal customer..something like that. But from my understanding they were VERY clear NO ONE in my call center is to rebundle any one what so ever. They have to go to the retention department. To elaborate on re bundling, if you have cable TV and internet. I ccannot put you on a promotion for the same identical products you have now at a much cheaper rate. I can roll you on a triple play bundle if you add a service though.
If any of you worked in a call center and knew what kind of BULLSHIT you go through, you would give me a lot more levy here. Please don't act like I made this policy, someone who drives a Bugatti did. Not me. I've helped a lot of people on here with their bill, and I will try the same for anyone else who has the time to send me a PM. If I can't help I'll point you in the right direction.
