What happened to all the old street racers???

You forgot a few guys....the nova boys...(green nova with yellow stripe)....Rielly.....Karman..Dennis with the blue 69 Chevelle....oh and me :~)

Can't leave out the Senelli brothers with Don's Vette, and John's TBird and Pinto. I drove the Vette the last two years he owned it. Damn i miss those days...working at Ramchargers and street racing till 4 am

I used to love Sinellis corvette how he had those neon lights, and Brandanas Dart was nice and dont forget Shake Your Money Makers Firebird

Those werent neons...they were trailer markers with red plexi in teh vents...

That mopar looks like Nic Rathbones and the dragstrip almost looks like the old Detroit dragway!

I remember the Rathbones...they were something!

I wish i could remember most of the people who street raced back then, working at Ramchargers for over 3 years i used to know alot...

Thats the main reason I bought Salamis Camaro, it needed alot of upgrades but the historic value is awesome. It was worth all the work Gilsbach and we have done to make it a solid Drag Car again and I cant wait to get it done.

Sorry for post whoring, just catching up!

Seriously you have Salami's old car...can't wait to see it! he is the reason i started building a 2nd gen camaro years ago...unfortunately gave it up after buying a house.

anyone mention some of the good sleepers from back then? the white chevy II nova, '89 cadillac fleetwood w/GN engine and a red dodge daytona that may have hurt some egos

Back in the early 90's there was an older guy Norm I think his name was that had a puke green early 70's Buick GS.. The car was super low key could hardly hear the car running and just a lil chop in the idle.. Looked WAY stock but that car ran pretty damn good!

Norm aka Smiley lol. That car ran low 11's on street tires. He ran it in some class where you had to run factory rubber. Him and my dad went back and fourth many times. I believe his son had a blue one that was just as quick.

oh, the best was loudmouth marks blue notch with the airbrushed pony busting through the bowtie on the trunk. that was a sweet car

Loudmouth Mark, was he fat with black hair... I only saw him in a Bronco. I dont remeber his car.

yeah, fat with black hair and a caveman beard. he had a lifted 96? f150 4x4 he usually drove. you could hear him 2blocks away hence the name loudmouth mark lol

Yea that's the guy. Boy he used to play games with people... The only time I seen that car run all out was when my friend beat him with his Impala.
