Salami got into girls which was the end of him and would not listen to tuneup tips from folks so the melting of pistons and heads got to be to expensive for him so he sold the Camaro. He is now married and lives in ST,Claire Shores

thats sweet!

thanks!!! couldn't break that old bastard......those are the correct tags on it, plus insurance. the car was in my name, and did see some late night action. i don't think i've got the stones for that shit anymore.....too damn old.....:gr_jest:

I have an uncle who raced USAC and NASCAR Stock Cars in the 60's and 70's.
Big block Chevelles mostly. Super speedways, dirt tracks, all over the place.
We used to go out to MIS and watch twin 200 races. 200 mile stock car race
followed by 200 mile Indy car race. Sat up on top of his camper on the infield.
That's what got me started.

I used to love Sinellis corvette how he had those neon lights, and Brandanas Dart was nice and dont forget Shake Your Money Makers Firebird

i got into racing from my uncle and my cousin! my uncle always had gm car's and my cousin always had mopars and my heart is with mopars and i will own another one someday!

and to this day the both still bracket race up at ubly!

i'm with mark. i can love me some mopars. too damn expensive now though. even a clean a-body costs a lot. of course notches are catching up quickly.

sorry mark, i know you've seen those pics a few times, but i love 'em. i go right back to a very simple time in my life. party-race-repeat......

btw, how fast was the duster? don't think i've ever heard.......

Last I talked with howdy he was building cars for other people, Joey blew up the camaro at fastest street car way back when

I got into racing from my Older Brother.

He had 2 1982 GT Mustangs. I bought my very first Fox body in 1997 and was hooked from there. Though I have GROWN UP and now have brass balls and a F-body.

howdy's still around if its the same howdy we're talking about (kinda loud, always laughing and having a good time)... him and my uncle are the ones that got me into cars when i was 10 following them around to races... i still see him at milan from time to time and whenever i go over to my uncles house
