Ok I want to pick a decent (ready to run) used RC Truck for my son on the cheap if possible.

I know you can get nutty on these things and spend a small fortune. I do not want a gas powered one..
Thought I would start with a 1:12 or 1:14 (maybe 1:10, but those look huge)

I know you guys have some good ones lying around you never use...so what do you have?
Cash ready - lol Macomb Twp area please

I've got a 1/10 e revo that killed both motors " dual motor model " on the 3rd run. Itll need 2 motors or the kit to make it brushless. Itll also need 2 battery connectors for the esc because I robbed those for another project. Runs off dual batteries. I'd let it go for 50bucks. I still have the box that came with it. And all the parts it came with brand new.

Text me for pictures if intrested, 313 778 83 four zero

How much would I have to put into it to go brushless ready to run (approx). Been years since I looked at RC cars, but my son is 12 so I think he is ready

Yes, want 1:10 now,

I am considering the one above from sn95, still trying to figure out all it needs.

Anyone else? Was hoping for a complete ready to go RC.

Larry's R/C on Van Dyke and 22 mile in Shelby, Family R/C at Gratiot and 16 mile and The R/C Clubhouse on Hoover and 8 1/2 are great places to run many types of R/C's and have everything youd need to fix and maintain your r/c and they all sell new kits as well. The guys there are all really knowledgeable as well.

Went to Larry's today... Might buy new, but still open to used options.

Right now I am leaning towards:
- Traxxas Slash 4x4
- Traxxas Rustler 4x4

Both "Brushed". Ready to go out of the box for $290.00 each.
I like the Rustler a little better as it comes with a little wider stance, more aggressive tire and a clip-less body.

Once I get into the Brush-less models I need a standalone Charger and Battery purchased separate. So about a $200 jump over the Brushed motor options above. They have come a long way since I last looked at these things like 20 years ago!

Anyone else want to sell a used one? The one SN95 above offered up I would have a bunch into get it back running.

Come up to $375 and i will sell you a Losi 8ight 1/8th scale all brushless(castle creations Mamba Max) 4x4 with everything you would need. 4 sets tires, spare parts, a 3 and 4 cell lipo battery with a 10 model memory Onxy charger, 2.4ghz Specktrum reviever and radio with LCD screen and telemetry capability. Everything you would need to go run it right away.

Only thing i would suggest changing is maybe grabbing a 2 cell battery till he is used to it. it is brutal fast with a 4 cell (A-main racing fast). Also i would recommend a new body that you guys could paint toghether and throw on for bashing around( i have two that would be perfect for this but i dont know where i put them lol). It has a Perfect Dark Side designs custom painted body on it now that has never been run and cost me $150. would be a shame to see it Ruined, but that would be up to you.

I probably have about a $1000 into this setup. The battery below thats attached to the charger was around $120. I just dont use it at all anymore. Only thinking about seeling it to use the Money to go pick up a drone to fly around.

Crap that is a lot of extras... hmmmm

Haha yeah, lot of money spent on it for sure. Little bit gnarlier than what you were originally looking for. But this thing is tough as hell. You would literally have to try and break it. Plus smaller battery for now and he would have room to grow. Wouldnt have to upgrade for a loooong time. unless he becomes a racing prodigy lol.

Pretty much a bigger stronger version of a Slash. overall size isnt much bigger though. Perfect fun car. will go pretty much anywhere and jump anything.

A guy I work with up by me lives in Onstead (small world). He lives with his sister during the week and only drives back home on the weekends. He just left and I wont see him for 2 weeks after shutdown here at the Big 3. He is right behind the High school in town basically
