It's a work in progress...

Empty car awaiting to be a somewhat civilized warm weather driver again. Rough placement ideas for the PT70GTQ turbo and PT1000 A/W intercooler. I think I will sink the cooler flush into the firewall. And the turbo.. I'm not sure if I want it mounted identical to a turbo buick setup or the opposite. Fresh air from the passenger side seems like a better idea than making an intake pipe stretch across the engine bay. Thoughts? Also not sure what wastegate to use for low boost.

No ET or HP goals, the plan is to see how much boost it will hold on pump gas. They make 250rwhp stock. I would be happy with solid 11's and maybe 400rwhp but there is a truck out there running 10lbs of boost making 500+rwhp so I think it will be fun to play with and I hope it exceeds my expectations. I think its an 800hp combo once it has rods and pistons but that's not my plan just yet. I also don't want to get into melting transmissions and buying high dollar replacements.

If you put this engine next to a 2JZ Supra engine, its nearly identical. All accessories are in the same place, etc. Think I heard maybe Isuzu designed both? I'm still reading about them.

The Vortec 3700 I-5 is only 50hp shy of the the 6 banger, it wouldn't be out of the question, Haha.

So...if the bay is long enough for an I-6, and wide enough for a v-8...shouldn't you be able to fit a v-12? Get on it!

why air/water for a street car?

I figure low boost, hot air, meth... and maybe more boost, ice water, meth when I want to lean on it. A heat exchanger setup might be cool, or not. Looking at a stock location Buick intercooler also or a different small air/air.
