V8 S10 conversion

Are there any good V8 S10 sites out there? I don't feel like paying for a membership to v8s10.com just to research....

Thanks in advance

its well worth the couple of bucks you pay. theres a SHIT LOAD of knowledgeable guys on that site. the couple of bucks you pay for a membership keeps the troll's out. its nice.

its just difficult having 5000 opinions from guys, sure they have all done a swap, but not necessarily the cleanest or easiet way

thats true, some of the more technical guys do it the right way and some of the less knowledgeable guys will do it "so it works" lots of ignorance with the older school guys.

i dont know how many times over there im told to "beat the firewall" i have NEVER had to do that in any s-series swap

only way i would do that was if I wanted to move the engine rearward in a race only app., and then, I would probably cut/weld, not beat it with a hammer

I've done this conversion on a 4wd '91 with a Corvette SB. I may be able to help you some. Throw me some questions and I'll answer all that I can.

i didn't have to when i had mine in. those guys made it sound so hard to do. it was easy as hell. bought the mounts and headers, and i had all the stuff from my 4.3. putting the 4.3 in was harder. (motor mounts, truck had a 2.8 to start with)

nope, mounts, headers, oil pan, oil filter relocation kit, it sucks in a 4wd

Not that bad , you can use the mounts from a 4.3, and the filter lines form a 4x4 s-series truck ,

it's still harder, i can just about do a 2wd blindfolded, 4wd just is WAY more money and yeah, you can use the from pads from a 4.3 and use the advanced adapters mounts, but header choice still sucks
