Turbo Fox build..

I've got 6 of the slugs in the holes. The company I ordered the bearings from only sent me 6 sets of rod bearings so I'm at a standstill until then. I did get my heads back though, fresh with all new valves and seals. Inconel exhaust and just the standard intake

Gonna be a fun/expensive winter for you lol looking forward to seeing this back together and running. Sounds like its gonna make some good power!

How much were the inconel valves?

Shortblock just about done.

Lol, not gonna be much of a grudge car when I'm doing a build thread that everyone can see what its got.

Pulled the transmission and cleaned up a bit more under the hood. Got my Flaming river shaft dimpled and locked in place. Thinking about selling the transmission and going with something stronger. I currently have a Lentech equipped AOD that is supposedly rated at 800hp. I'm thinking I'm going to need something a little beefier. Hate to break it, then it only be a giant boat anchor.

Had to send the head studs back to summit to exchange them. I bought 351W 1/2" bolts and they are too short for the boss block. Needs 390 head studs. Apparently UPS needs a week to ship shit from Ohio to Michigan now. I need to get a head on to measure for pushrod length, then the engine will be pretty much done. Only other thing I'm going to do it port match the intake to the heads.

Picked up this AEM for tuning the car, with the LS coil packs and injector driver. I'm thinking about offing it and getting a different system although I know it will work.

I also picked up an intercooler last weekend. Its a Treadstone TRV259-S. Its the biggest one they offer, supporting 1300hp. Hopefully a little more :secret:
I was going to try the whole E-85 with no intercooler dealio, but I feel a little better knowing that my IAT's will be lower (Atleast at the IAT sensor). I think this will give me a little better window of tuning with the higher compression and boost.

I also got it mounted yesterday. I wanted to avoid hacking off the bumper support, so I had to install it more towards the drivers side. The upper tank will need either a 90 degree welded on or I can get a 90 degree silicon coupler to make the transition around the bumper mount

Sold the GT4202R, and a buyer is coming this weekend to pick up the AOD unless someone talks me out of it. New head studs came in, got one head on and measured for pushrod length. Now have some Trend 6.35" ones on the way.

The new turbo I plan on buying is the new Borg S482 FMW. Transmission is still up in the air as far as going with a PG or TH400. I've got some people telling me PG all the way and others telling me I'm gonna want that extra gear for the street. Others say PG's are good on the street too.
I can get a 1000hp rated one from Unlimited transmission for $1200 without a SBF bell, anyone have any experience with Darrel? I also talked with the guy at Freak Show performance in Texas, and he suggested a PG and quoted me 2400 for one with a 1.80 gearset, converter, PRW Flexplate and a quicktime bellhousing with MVB and T-brake. Seems like a pretty good deal.

PM Fryguy, he had both transmissions in his turbo street/strip coupe.

IMO I don't think you will regret either transmissions. They are both good and your car will make so much power that you will have no issues on the street.

Is the S482 a cast or billet comp wheel?

Its the FMW (forged milled wheel). So not technically billet but just as strong I would assume. I hope that it spools quick on the street
