I've searched the forums and have come up with little information. I'm trying to figure out which tire to run with the 15x3.5 weld prostars. I caught this from another forum member:
"The Sportsman and the Sportsman Front are bias ply tires. The Drag Radial is (obviously) a radial tire. That can be a deadly handling combination. From the M/T website:
Quote:
WARNING: Mickey Thompson Sportsman tires are Bias Ply. It is not recommended that radial and non-radial tires be mixed on the same vehicle."
My question is if I can't run the M/T Sportsman front (8ply) with drag radials what is my other option??? I currently have 165/15 (tele's?) tires on the front but @40 psi they look very low on air. Obviously this tire is not suited to support that sort of load. My car weighs 3330lbs. I've heard some of the fbody guys running the 165/80/15 Kuhmo Power Star http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/searchTiresBySize.do?r=MPHINT|pc|48079&cs=165&ar=80&rd=15 Any advice?
