Tires for 15x3.5 prostars

I've searched the forums and have come up with little information. I'm trying to figure out which tire to run with the 15x3.5 weld prostars. I caught this from another forum member:
"The Sportsman and the Sportsman Front are bias ply tires. The Drag Radial is (obviously) a radial tire. That can be a deadly handling combination. From the M/T website:
Quote:
WARNING: Mickey Thompson Sportsman tires are Bias Ply. It is not recommended that radial and non-radial tires be mixed on the same vehicle."

My question is if I can't run the M/T Sportsman front (8ply) with drag radials what is my other option??? I currently have 165/15 (tele's?) tires on the front but @40 psi they look very low on air. Obviously this tire is not suited to support that sort of load. My car weighs 3330lbs. I've heard some of the fbody guys running the 165/80/15 Kuhmo Power Star http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/searchTiresBySize.do?r=MPHINT|pc|48079&cs=165&ar=80&rd=15 Any advice?

i ran the sportsman for years with radials, drag radials and with my slicks. My car weighs 3412...never had any issues....plus I am not taking any corners at crazy speeds.

Yea, I don't plan on driving like an idiot. If anything I plan on driving like a grandpa, until I can figure out how to pass tech with a stud that's suitable to still run street rims without having opened end lug nuts with studs sticking out 5 feet...lol. I think I have ARP 3.25 all the way around right now and it looks like ANUS in the front.

go to moroso studs. I used them on my with my stock mach1 ford lugnuts and they fit perfect. I hated the arp ones. the moroso ones are legal AND shorter.

I'm assuming you went with the 2 7/8 over the 3 inch if you were using the stock closed end ford lugnuts? I believe stock is 2.5 inches?

yes..the closed end lugs on the mach1 are deeper than the standard lugs. I actually went with the 3 inch studs. I had to run a 1/4 spacer with my billet specialities with I used my stock brakes. Now with wilwoods I run no spacer but use the open lugs for my front runners
