Tips/Experience/Etc dealing with insurance and totaled values?

Whoever gave you this information is miss leading you horribly

If you think it's worth any more you need to have something factual. Listings of similar vehicles are your best bet, your opinion or an arbitrary number are worthless.

You can't just hope people give you more money... you have to negotiate and have evidence... I assumed that was a given but maybe not in the entitled world. Pictures of what yours looked like and others for sale within 500 miles helps. The longer you wait the more they're willing to pay not to have to deal with it anymore.

I have two relatives whose job is to give you the least money for your car... aka insurance adjusters. Listening to them talk about the insurance industry (one used to be an actuary even) at a family gathering is worse than listening to me talk about engineering.

If your looking for one to buy, there's a used one, light tan, 4 door, cap?, parked out by the road just north of Milford Proving grounds. Right side of the road going north past the proving grounds. I would've stopped and got a pic but I had my 32ft travel trailer behind me. Someone has to work at the proving grounds to get you details? I believe it had the TRD stickers on the back of the bed.
